Jack Dangermond is the founder and president of Esri, a geographic information system software company. With a background in landscape architecture and urban design, he and his wife, Laura, founded Esri in 1969 with the idea that computer-based mapping and analysis could help people and organizations understand the world better for planning, creating policy and making decisions.
