Expert conflict mediator Gabrielle Rifkind works behind the scenes to create conditions for peacemaking, before and when violent conflict breaks out. She is the founder and director of the conflict mediation organization Oxford Process. Her background as a psychotherapist and group analyst has been critical in understanding human motivation for going to war and how to help prevent it. She has worked in conflict resolution for the past two decades, including working on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, the Iran nuclear issue, the proxy wars in Syria and more recently Russia-Ukraine war. She is currently working on her fifth book, The Art of Disagreeing.
