Aruna Rangachar Pohl is the chairperson of the advisory committee at the India Foundation for Humanistic Development (IFHD), which provides ecological, economic and social services across India. Globally recognized under Rangachar Pohl’s leadership, IFHD has been working with small-hold farmers and local communities in fostering climate-resilient circular ecosystems. IFHD is currently implementing India’s first certified Blue Carbon project, conserving mangroves on the country’s western coast.

An alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management (Ahmedabad), Rangachar Pohl has more than 30 years of entrepreneurial and management experience in the food, agriculture and retail sectors. She has set up businesses for processing spice oils and other food ingredients, consulted for several international food distribution companies and is a member of several policy working groups.
