Anna Maria Coclite is an associate professor in the Institute of Solid State Physics of the Graz University of Technology in Austria.

Anna Maria Coclite was born in Bari, in the south of Italy, where she studied chemistry. She was a postdoctoral associate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology before moving on to Graz, Austria, where she is as an associate professor in the Institute of Solid State Physics.Her research interests focus on materials science and advanced methods for thin film growth, including thin film technologies, nanomaterials and surface chemistry. In 2016, she was awarded grant from the European Research Council to work on sensors for artificial skins, which she is now optimizing and trying to commercialize.
