Afrika Afeni Mills believes all educators can be motivated, engaged, dynamic practitioners and leaders when provided with the support needed to create student-centered, anti-bias, anti-racist, culturally responsive learning environments. She is an education consultant and CEO of Continental Drift, an organization that supports culturally responsive teaching, as well an adjunct instructor at Boston College's Lynch School of Education and Human Development and Mount Holyoke College. She is the author of Open Windows, Open Minds: Developing Antiracist, Pro-Human Students, which offers a blueprint for nurturing diversity, belonging, equity and inclusion in the classroom.
