In the spirit of “ideas worth spreading,” TED has created TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxMMU, where x = independently organized TED event. At TEDxMMU, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.

This is the only TEDx event organized in Malaysia's universities. We are planning carry on this but was hold due financial reasons. Perhaps those who are willing to support, please contact Mr. Shaiful Taher, our organizer.

MICHAEL REYES

MICHAEL REYES is currently a Director of Money Tree Asia Pacific Limited, a company which offers & conducts programs on improving financial, investment and entrepreneurial skills amongst the young .He is actively involved in the program, and speaks to youths on issues related to Investments & Entrepreneurship .Prior to MoneyTree , Michael spent 12 years in Advertising & Marketing Consultancy – working on projects in Hong Kong, Indonesia, Singapore, Brunei and parts of Europe. He holds qualifications in both Economics and Computer Science.

Stephen Ong

Stephen has more than 15 years of working experience, both local and foreign, in investment banking, merger and acquisition, and venture capital investments. Bringing with him experiences in the banking and investment field, Stephen has the foresight required in making diligent investments. Stephen holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science, University of London, UK. He further obtained his Master of Business Administration majoring in International Business from the University of Bradford, UK. Stephen joined the Group in 2000

Ikhwan Nazri

He’s an all-rounder and his primary weapon is Flash. Experienced as Flash Tutor teaching mostly Basic level. All into Digital media and understands the pedagogy of New Media such as Interactive Games and even Web 2.0 stuff. Currently runs Flavert Media Lab, Weddingkami, and run a community project named Officekami.com. Previous Community project is Al-Quran for PlayStation Portable which spawns interest all over the world and existed in three languages, English, French and Malay. He also an active Barcampers in Malaysia giving talks in several camps and looking forward to share what he know, his ideas and aim to become Philanthropist, helping needing hands, in his old days, that would come later.

Che Ahmad Azhar b. Fadzil

Famously known by the name of Che Mat, he is a specialist from Faculty of Creative Multimedia, Multimedia University, Cyberjaya. He is the program coordinator for Foundation Studies in Faculty Creative Multimedia. An Exploration on the combination of Analogue Photography and Digital Imaging in Producing Graphic Arts/ Developing the Framework of Advertising Design Major in a Multimedia Curriculum
