The theme of this year’s event is Moments of Insight: Bursting the Bulb. This theme is meant to inspire people to think about their own personal and/or professional learning moments; moments in which the metaphorical light bulb bursts in one’s head. Moments that have changed a person’s worldview about the way something was supposed to work. Moments when someone realizes that some discovery was bigger than a current theory or personal belief. Moments in which a person and/or a field of inquiry grew personally, professionally, scientifically, or spiritually. Moments which come to define a person or field of inquiry. We all have such moments and sharing one’s insight could revolutionize others' ways of thinking.
TEDxNSU is an annual event, featuring engaging lectures, videos, dance, visual art, and interactive elements, hosted by the Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences at Nova Southeastern University. TEDxNSU showcases the scholarly work of members of the university.
Thought-provoking events like TEDxNSU support the college’s aim to encourage intellectual exploration and the sharing of ideas amongst students, faculty and staff, and members of the local community. TEDxNSU expands this reach to a global audience with videos of the lectures available on YouTube.
