Claire Pamment

Claire Pamment is British theatre academic and practitioner. She is a Higher Education Commission foreign faculty member at the Department of Theatre, Film and Television, Beaconhouse National University, Lahore, a PhD candidate at Central School of Speech and Drama, University of London, and the former head of the Department of Theatre at National College of Arts, Rawalpindi Campus. Research interests include popular South Asian performance cultures. Her articles have been published in Asian Theatre Journal, Journal of South Asian Popular Culture, SAGAR, TDR and Sohbet. In 2008 she received the International Federation of Theatre Research's award for Best New Scholar (second place), and she is an Advisory Board member to Comedy Studies. Recently she directed NCA’s inaugural main stage production, an adaptation project of Dario Fo’s Can’t Pay, Won’t Pay, which was staged in the National Arts Islamabad in 2010 and at Iran’s International Festival of University Theatre in Tehran.

Zar Aslam

Zar Aslam has over twenty years of corporate experience as a senior executive and a seasoned manager working for technology companies in the Silicon Valley, California. She is experienced in building infrastructure and leading sales, marketing and training organizations and leading cross-functional international teams through product definition, product development and product introduction cycles. Her efforts included setting up worldwide distribution channels and negotiating complex business deals involving technology, services and financing. Zar has conducted business in over twenty-five countries world-wide. On voluntary basis, Zar worked with Habitat for Humanity to build homes around the San Francisco Bay area. Ms. Aslam is President and CEO of The Environment Protection Fund (TEPF), a non-profit based in California with offices in Pakistan.

Bashir Ahmad

Bashir Ahmad, born in Pakistan, raised in Virginia USA. Graduated from George Mason University in 2008 with a degree in global affairs. While at university he began studying martial arts and became very much interested in the potential for human growth that they brought. After graduation he traveled to Thailand for a year and a half to study Muay Thai and in December of 2009 he moved to Pakistan to promote the fast emerging sport of Mixed Martial Arts. Being the president on Pakistan Mixed Martial Arts Association, he has put Pakistan on the map in the MMA world. He has had some of the biggest magazine in MMA cover his association (Fighters Only) and become the part of the largest MMA network in history of the ONEFC network. He is the only Pakistani martial artist to be the exclusive fighter at world's second largest MMA platform (ONEFC). Signing the contract with Sunjay Dutt's Super Fight League enabled him to promote Pakistani MMA talent in India and be the part of India's No.1 MMA league.

Shaheer Niazi

Shaheer is a student of LACAS Johar Town. He is 12 and studies in class VII. His main interests are astronomy, physics, maths, philosophy and astrobiology.

Khadija Niazi

Khadija is 12 years old and is a student of class VII at LACAS Johar Town. Her main interests are astronomy, math, philosophy, statistics, poetry and astrobiology.

Raza Naeem

Raza Naeem is an Arabic-speaking social scientist, translator, literary critic presently and political activist and Research Fellow at the Graduate Institute of Development Studies at the Lahore School of Economics. He has been trained in Political Economy from the University of Leeds in UK, and in Middle Eastern History and Anthropology from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, US. He is presently working on a fresh English translation of Manto's Letters to Uncle Sam for a newer, younger audience
