Theme: Learning from Failures!"

The 7th TEDxCISB Youth event will be held on Saturday, April 26th, from 2:00 pm to 5:30 pm in the Canadian International School of Beijing Auditorium. There will be awesome Speaking Performances from our seven MH students and six guest speakers. The theme is "Learning from Failures!". It's a public event. The ticket price on only 50 RMB, and there are lots of gifts from our sponsors for all audience members. Don't forget to join us!

Aliyan Sajid

Aliyan is in Grade 7 at CISB and has always been curious about new things. He loves traveling, learning new languages, and playing games. He is also a YouTuber and has more than 30 million viewers. Aliyan is willing to deliver a kindhearted talk that inspires others to embrace problem-solving.

Cheah Xun Yang Bryan

Bryan Cheah is a grade 11 student who transferred to CISB this year. He is from Malaysia and this is his fifth year in Beijing. He has pursued his many interests in various areas such as badminton, engineering, maths, stock markets, and playing chess. Learning new knowledge and skills and public speaking is also part of his interest.

Chris Cheung

Chris is the founder of a www.atoolkitforlife.com, and is an experienced facilitator and mindfulness practitioner with more than two decades of experience working with multinational organizations and NGOs. He is dedicated to helping others become more aware of mental health and the benefits of a mindfulness-based approach to life and work.'

Huan Liu Jennifer

Jennifer has worked as a language program teacher in an international school for 5 years. In her career, she hopes to promote innovative education. She is also passionate about public speaking, traveling, and reading.

Idah Waringa

Idah is a Kenyan journalist currently serving as a news editor and presenter at CGTN in Beijing. She has interviewed some of the world’s most notable personalities and her work has gained both continental & global recognition. Idah is passionate about representation and equality of opportunities.

Katrina Armalovica

Katrina is a Grade 10 student who has embraced a variety of challenges over the past year, seeking a deeper understanding of herself and the world around her. As she navigates life, Katrina remains dedicated to making a positive impact.

Mahnoor Zara

Mahnoor is currently a Grade 11 student at CISB and is participating in this event to improve her public-speaking skills. She enjoys drawing, reading, dancing and many more. She hopes to gain experience through this event and wishes to create a great environment for the audience.

Peter Klenovsky

Peter, is a grade 8 student who has attended CISB for 4 years. His hobbies include reading, history, content creation, and MUN. Peter is interested in giving his first TEDx talk and is happy to share his knowledge.

Rucha Vishwas Kulkarni

Rucha Kulkarni, an 11th grader at CISB from India, has always been curious about the world. Growing up in different countries, she developed a love for traveling and learning new languages. Alongside her passion for public speaking, she enjoys participating in competitions like MUN. Rucha hopes to deliver a thoughtful talk that inspires others.

Sua Kim

Sua is a Grade 7 student who joined CISB in 2023. She is passionate about singing and musical theater. Sua enjoys trying new things she has never tried and has joined this year’s TEDx event as a speaker for the first time; she is very excited to share her idea.

Summer Wang

Summer is a Beijing-based entrepreneur, passionate about public speaking and bodybuilding. She is a scoliosis fighter, and minimalism practitioner, with a firm belief in striving to be the best and authentic self in this one-way life journey.

Taís Bahia

Taís is the founder and CEO of Xianzai现在, a Ph.D. candidate at Peking University, and a Corporate/M&A lawyer. With over a decade in Brazil-China relations, she leads education and gender equality initiatives within the Brazilian Bar Association and other institutions.

Wantine SUN Jingyi

Wantine has educational backgrounds in the UK, France, and China, and is currently working for an international organization. She loves trying new things and keeps up a habit of reading 100 books every year. She is good at exploring her potential in different fields and deriving happiness. She has obtained piano, fitness, volunteering, and public speaking certificates. Exploring "who I am" in life is fascinating for her.
