TEDxClonturk CC Youth is a youth-focused event designed to showcase the powerful ideas, creativity, and insights of the next generation. Set in the vibrant community of Drumcondra, this independently organised TEDx event provides a platform for young thinkers, innovators, and changemakers to share their perspectives on topics that matter most to them.

From tackling global challenges like climate change and social justice to sharing personal stories of resilience and growth, TEDxClonturk CC Youth is a celebration of fresh ideas and bold visions for the future. Through a mix of live talks, artistic performances, and interactive experiences, this event aims to inspire, connect, and empower audiences of all ages to think differently and act boldly.

Aoife is a 6th year student who will take you on a journey through your brain, and explain how the descions you make might not be your own.

Cara Sexton

Student
Cara Sexton is a 5th year student who has dedicated a lot of time and effort into STEM, and furthermore why women chose not to go into STEM. She will share some of the research she has done, and talk further about why it is important girls should choose STEM subjects.

Carmen Torres

Student
Carmen is a TY student who has noticed the rise of dependency on devices in younger children, she will share the importance of proper monitoring and limiting through her own stories and personal experiences.

Evie O'Connell

Student
Evie is a TY student who has dealt with the struggles of dementia through her family, and wants to provide guidance on how it can be preventable in some cases, if you take extra care of yourself when you are younger.

Iseult Doggett Finnie

Student
Iseult is a Transition Year student, speaking about her experience with dyslexia, and delving into the mostly unseen creative side of it.

Michael Hurley

Student
Michael is a 3rd year student, who through his love of computers will discuss the benefits of free open source software, and why large companies licensing widely used software can have a negative affect on development.

Nicholas Matache

Student
Nicholas is a 6th year student who will embrace his passion for imagination, and share some of the reasons why it's important to keep it, even when you grow up.

Sophia Mulvany

Student
Sophia is a 2nd year student, who has a strong passion for advocacy. She wants to draw attention to some of the reasons as to why we should listen to our young people when making big choices that will affect them later on in life.
