Join us for an inspiring TEDx Salon conversation with Amy Bray, a 21-year-old marine biologist and CEO of the environmental education charity Another Way. Founded at 16, Amy has dedicated her life to combating climate change through grassroots initiatives. This session will explore how young leaders can drive community-based climate solutions. Amy's experience and achievements, including her role as a presenter for BBC Bitesize and her appearances on various media platforms, will provide valuable insights into leveraging community efforts for global environmental change.

Amy Bray

CEO, Founder, Marine Biologist
Amy Bray is a 21-year-old marine biologist and CEO of Another Way, an environmental education charity she founded at 16. Amy has planted over 30,000 trees in Cumbria and has given talks on climate change, plastic pollution, and sustainable living to over 8000 people. She organizes community events, including talks with world-renowned scientists, and creates resources to empower sustainable living. Another Way's two zero-waste shops in Cumbria help reduce plastic use. The new Power of 10 network connects young changemakers worldwide. Amy has presented short documentaries on BBC Bitesize and appeared on CountryFile, BBC 5Live, Radio 4, and Good Morning Britain. She is a Patron of Friends of the Lake District, a committee member for the UN Decade of Ocean Science, a trustee of Cumbria Wildlife Trust, and an Ambassador for The Tree Council. She has received the Cumbria Woman of the Year 2019 and the Prime Minister's Point of Light Award for her work.
