In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Dr Jaedan Sangma

Dentist and Theatre enthusiast

Dr. Jaedan Sangma – professionally a medical practitioner (dentist) who graduated as an Honors student from the Universidad Católica San Antonio de Murcia , Spain. He is Mayo College’s Old Boy , Class of 2018. At school, he was a senior at the College Dramatics Society and was cast in 8 Prize Giving productions, 5 Inter - House productions and in an array of Inter - School competitions. He was awarded for his performances in and outside his school. He has been the recipient of the Kotah Medal for Excellence in Dramatics in the years 2011 and 2016, an unprecedented achievement to be awarded twice to the same student. He was also awarded with Warrior Scholarship for all-round performance in 2016 and 2017. He was a member of the College Photography and Filmmaking Clubs and was also on the College’s Shooting Team.

Arun Agnihotri - With more than three decades of experience of working with children and young people, he remains the ‘rebel voice’ of the Indian Theatre and the Educational canvas. One of the initiators of Theatre-in-Education in the country, he has directed numerous plays and conducted various workshops/master classes in India and abroad. With 18 international representations and 15 research papers to his credit, he is known for his innovative work in the areas of Experiential Education, Outward Bound Programmes, Story-Telling and Reading, Arts Education, Puppet and Mask–making, Alternate Education, Drama Therapy, Children with Special Needs, Educational Skill-Development, School Development and Teacher/Corporate Training, Communication and Leadership Programmes. He is presently based in Bangalore.

Mr Jagannath Panda

Jagannath Panda - An Indian contemporary artist born in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, has been giving food for thought through his artworks to the debaters who support urbanisation or despise it, for the past two and half decades. He acquired his education from BK College of Art and Crafts in Bhubaneswar, and The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda. After completing his Masters, he became a research fellow at Fukuoka University of Education, Japan in 1997, and then studied fine sculpture from the Royal College of Art, London in 2002. Panda’s exploring of the grey area of development and growth and tracing the dreams and aspirations of people, while using a myriad of art forms and techniques has made his paintings and installations timelessly relevant. Not just this, his work beyond the atelier is also making a great impact.
