The concept of the TedxKingsParadeSt is 'Transformed.' Much like a chrysalis turning into a butterfly, the Tedx stage will allow for the speakers to share either their personal transformation or how a society/ a person can be transformed through the work they have taken on or both.

Ali Azeem

Strategist
From Apple to the United Nations, Award-winning strategist Ali Azeem advises companies and governmental bodies on how to thrive in a fast changing world. Whether it’s launching vaccines, or developing progressive economic policy, he has a track record of delivering positive change. In his current role, Ali is Head of Growth for Access Partnership, the world’s leading tech policy consultancy. Having worked across business, technology, and politics, Ali became aware of how often the benefit to everyday people went overlooked. When considering the formidable challenges we collectively face, many of them can be traced back to this omission. It is this realisation that underpins his philosophy of being Human First - an approach that puts people at the centre of what we do. Ali was named Global Leader in Innovation by Consulting Magazine, as well as Consultant of the Year by CIMA, and New Marketer of the Year by CIM.

Ciara Judge

Researcher
Ciara Judge is a researcher and science communicator from Kinsale in Ireland. She has done her undergraduate BSc in Genetics at University College Cork and an MPhil in Computational Biology at the University of Cambridge. Ciara is now a PhD student at the Center for Mathematical Modelling of Infectious Diseases at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she worked with the Goldman Group at the European Bioinformatics Institute and the Cambridge Department of Chemistry to develop EvoCov, a pipeline for analysing the evolution of SARS-CoV-2 to develop variant-robust antibody treatments. Ciara is interested in combining genomics and epidemiological models to curb the spread of infectious disease outbreaks, particularly arboviruses. Most recently, she has had the opportunity to attend the UN General Assembly to participate in meetings on pandemic preparedness as a We Are Family Foundation Ambassador.

Dr. Saf Buxy

Psychotherapist
Dr. Saf Buxy is a psychotherapist. He studied in psychotherapy, addiction psychology and more. He’s worked in many mental health and addiction services. He now has his own private practice and works with students at The Royal Academy of Music providing therapy. Dr. Saf is a big advocate for Human rights and human dignity, hence his commitment as a volunteer director of a non profit organisation ‘Stop Trafficking Worldwide CIC.’ He is also on the advisory board for a human Dignity organisation called Peaceful Planet. He has written a book called “Out of The Madness- a message of hope”. Dr. Saf Buxy has hosted a 13 week show on SKY TV called ‘Men’s Talk’ and had his own radio show called ‘Saf’s Surgery.’ He has been awarded a plethora of awards including ‘The Ambassador for Peace’ honoured by Universal Peace Federation UK.

Holly Wilmot

Contemporary Dancer
Holly Wilmot is a freelance contemporary dancer, choreographer and teacher. After graduating in 2012 with a dance degree from York St John University, she continued her training as a member of Springs Dance Company’s apprentice programme, Elevate. Since then, she has worked as a performer on a variety of projects for film, photography and site-specific productions. Dance credits include: Fresh: North East, ICON, Resolution, The Brighton Fringe Festival and Project Dance: Paris. Holly began working with Infusion Physical Theatre in 2019 as a dancer on the anti-trafficking production, Somebody’s Daughter. She returned to work with the company in 2022 for the R&D of Soothe and its premiere at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival. In February 2024, she rejoined the cast for the continued development of Soothe and its performances at The Cambridge Festival.

Londiwe Ncube

With over a decade of experience in fashion, Londiwe Ncube has worked across editorial and e-commerce styling, directing, and consulting. Her impressive portfolio includes Conde Nast, Dazed Digital, Net-a-Porter, Refinery29, TANK, the Victoria & Albert Museum. In May 2019, she co-founded Atijo, a luxury curated vintage store dedicated to promoting pre-loved and conscious shopping. Londiwe’s work encourages mindful consumerism, blending her passion for fashion with a commitment to being conscious with how we approach style.

Ngozi Onwuchekwa

Miss Universe Finalist
Ngozi Onwuchekwa is a recent survivor of a rare and deadly disease, Rhabdomyosarcoma, who within 1 year of remission, also won the Mrs Exceptional Lady Universe crown at the Mrs Universe beauty pageant in Miami, beating numerous adversities. Originally from Nigeria and now living in England, the triumph has spurred Ngozi to use her new found self confidence and extremely challenging experiences to help others on her travels across the world. Ngozi was recently invited to No 10 Downing Street in London to be recognised for her fundraising efforts for Sarcoma UK. Ngozi's journey from an incredibly health conscious business woman, fighting for her life, to beauty queen has spurred Ngozi to use her new found self confidence and extremely challenging experiences to help others discussing how to advocate for yourself when you are very ill, to build confidence following a debilitating illness, to keep fit when your body is weak, and the celebration of pageantry - Much more than glam.

Robyn Wilton

Robyn Wilton is a menstrual health advocate, coach and founder of BLEED ON IT CIC where she produces supper clubs, radio shows, events and creative projects that raise awareness on the menstrual cycle. Her work is to chip away at the taboos that surround periods and menstrual cycles and to show that this very inner structure can support us to deeper practices of self love, self advocacy and living in optimal health. Menstrual cycle awareness as a practice is experiencing its own expansion into a movement of health practitioners and individuals waking up to its power. We in the west are becoming more curious around our own body literacy to optimise our health.

Sir Albert Aynsley-Green

Paediatric endocrinologist, Professor, Author
Sir Albert Aynsley Green was the first National Clinical Director for Children in Government in the Department of Health in London, then first Children’s Commissioner for England; he was elected President of the British Medical Association. In 2006, Sir Al was knighted by Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth for his lifelong work on children. He was also Chair of the Salisbury Diocesan Board of Education and member of the Archbishop’s Education Board. He is now Professor Emeritus of Child Health, University College London and Visiting Professor in Advocacy for Children and Childhood in Nottingham Trent University and has been appointed Visiting Professor in the Quality of Care, Northampton University. He has over 300 publications on metabolic and endocrine diseases and political policy for children and is author of the award winning and best-selling book ‘The British Betrayal of Childhood’.

Sonal Sachdev Patel

Sonal Sachdev Patel is the CEO of GMSP Foundation, a family foundation, which practises trust-based philanthropy in supporting strong frontline organisations working to improve the lives of some of the most marginalised people in India and the UK. She is the first Philanthropist in Residence at LSE’s Marshall Institute. Sonal is an experienced advisor and board member to organisations working on gender equality, climate change, education and rights-based advocacy. She serves on the board of Dasra and Global Fund for Children that works in 32 countries. She was awarded the 2019 Influencer Award by DSC Awards for her work in social change. Sonal is the co-author of bestselling Gita: The Battle of the Worlds published by HarperCollins, which brings the messages of the ancient Hindu text the Bhagwad Gita to children everywhere. Her next book, “Little Wave’’ introducing concepts of death and reincarnation to children will be published by Scholastic in September 2024.

Suna Alan

Kurdish Alevi singer based in London. She grew up in traditional Kurdish dengbêj (bard) music and a rich cosmopolitan cultural environment in Izmir, Turkey. Although her main focus remains Kurdish folk songs, her repertoire also includes Armenian, Greek, Arabic, Sephardic, and Turkish songs. The UK-based creative journalism platform Brush & Bow featured Suna’s portrait as part of the “Women Role Models Project” in 2018. Suna took the stage at Southbank Centre as part of the “Women in Music” concert series and performed at Royal Albert Hall as part of Solidarity Ensemble to raise funds for Turkey & Syria earthquake survivors. Taking part in the SOAS Kurdish Band and SOAS Rebetiko Band projects formed by SOAS University, one of the important music schools in the UK, Suna has been performing in many concerts and festivals in the UK and abroad.
