A key point that should be stuck to our audience’s mind is to feel the change and power they can be, if they put their minds to it. All of the attending audience must have a goal or idea they would like to pursue, but might be wary of the backlash or comments they will receive. The talks revolving around this theme, wishes to be the push they need, to go all out and break the stereotypes and misconceptions they faced

Erica Eng

Comic Artist
Erica Eng is a Malaysian animator, writer and illustrator. Her debut graphic novel, Fried Rice, is based on the Eisner-winning webcomic of the same name. Fried Rice also received a Ringo award for Best Webcomic and a nomination for Digital Book of the Year by the Harvey awards in 2020. As of noe, she is currently cooking up more stories from her home in Johor.

Ian Phang is a Finance and Economics graduate from Monash University with a diverse background that spans from internships in various industries to successful competition experiences, and startup ventures.

Kavita Sanglish

Founder of Stand With Refugees
Kavita Sanglish is a 25-year-old psychology graduate from Sunway-Lancaster University, known for her involvement in mental health advocacy and community work. A Jeffrey Cheah scholar, she holds a BSc (Hons) in Psychology and has been actively organizing mental health workshops for NGOs. Passionate about helping underserved communities, she founded the organization Stand With Refugees in 2022, which focuses on the welfare of refugee children and youth in Malaysia. Kavita has also been involved in beauty pageants, having been a top contestant in the Pencarian Puteri Malaysia pageant.

Mechanical Engineering Student at Monash
Nouran is a second-year mechanical engineering student, and currently, she is the President of the IMechE Monash University Malaysia Student Chapter.

With over two decades in customer service and business development serving major IT players such as Mesiniaga, IBM, Oracle and Global Knowledge, Ruby has established Trainocate as a leading IT training provider in Malaysia serving customers such as AIG, Bank Negara, CIMB, Dell, DHL, Maybank, Telekom Malaysia and many more. Ruby is passionate about life-long learning and career development and strongly believes that IT career certifications are the game changer in helping professionals advance in the IT field, taking on leadership roles.

Shankar Santhiram

Executive Leadership Coach
Shankar R. Santhiram is an Executive Leadership Coach. He is also Managing Consultant of EQTD Consulting Malaysia. He obtained a law degree from the University of Sussex in the UK in 1993. In 2022, Shankar was appointed an Adjunct Professor by the University of Cyberjaya. In June 2016, Shankar released his first book, “So, You Want To Get Promoted?” Distributed via MPH Distribution, the book has to date, sold over 5000 copies, making it a national bestseller. At present, apart from his work as an Executive Leadership Coach, Consultant, and Management Trainer, Shankar also owns or has substantial interests in a range of businesses, from Malaysia’s first dedicated stand-up comedy club, a restaurant in Kuala Lumpur, to a boutique hotel in Austria.

Siti Kasim

Human Rights Activist
Siti Kasim is a practising lawyer and an activist for civil liberties and human rights in Malaysia. She obtained her law degree in her mid thirties from Queen Mary College, University of London without any Malaysian government help but instead worked part time and studied full time whilst being a singlevparent with a 2 year old on tow. Siti has consistently spoken up against the actions by the authorities, be it religious or not. She has been vocal and actively participated legally in the fight against persecution by authorities against marginalised peoples especially for freedom of and from religion, the orang asli and the trans- community. Siti has also been arrested, detained, put in lockup and maliciously persecuted for defending these communities.
