Catherine Terry Taylor

Catherine Terry Taylor joined AARP Rhode Island as State Director in May 2021. She previously worked as executive director of Age-Friendly RI, an initiative of Rhode Island College, and as Senior Advisor for Policy, Partnerships, and Community Engagement at the George & Anne Ryan Institute for Neuroscience and the Rhode Island Geriatric Education Center (RIGEC) at the University of Rhode Island.
Catherine is the former director of the Rhode Island Division of Elderly Affairs, a candidate for Rhode Island Secretary of State and Lt. Governor, and a former owner of a strategic consulting firm, LangTaylor. She previously served for 20 years as a legislative assistant and speechwriter for Senator John Chafee and later Senator Lincoln Chafee. She is a Commissioner of the Rhode Island Governor’s Commission on Disabilities and a former member of the board of directors of the National Association for Geriatric Education.
Izzy Hill
Student
Izzy Hill is a junior at Walker’s. She is the head of Students
Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, co-head of Justice
League, co-head of Dance Club, a Cicerone, current Vice
President of the Junior Class, a competitive dancer, and a
member of the Ethel Walker Art Council. Izzy is passionate about
gun safety, social justice, and dance.
Mally Cox-Chapman
Alumna
Mally participates in a nimble funding group that is helping nonprofits lower Connecticut's carbon footprint. Until she retired, Mally was the principal of Benefactory Philanthropic, a consulting firm dedicated to donors and their chosen non-profits. Her focus was the arts, education, and the environment. Mally is the author of three books, including The Case for Heaven. She often appeared on radio and TV shows, including NBC’s News Hour, for which she received the highest audience rating in the history of the show to that time.
Mally earned her BA cum laude in political science from Yale in its first class of women. She has served on the board of several secondary schools, including Walkers, and as board chair of the largest after-school program in Hartford. She currently serves as a trustee of the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art.
Nisha Mungroo-Inga

Nisha is the Program Director and Supervising Attorney of The Victim Rights Center of CT. Her most recent experience as a contracted attorney primarily involves Family Law, Bankruptcy, and Criminal Defense work.
Nisha obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies and Journalism from The University of Massachusetts- Amherst and her Juris Doctor from Massachusetts School of Law at Andover. She has always had an interest in providing legal services to victims, which was influenced by her observation of how they were treated in the judicial system and the demand for trauma-informed legal representation. She truly believes that her legal education is a privilege, and there is an onus on those who work in the public service sector to help those who cannot help themselves. Her legal team consists of 4 attorneys and two legal support staff, and they serve the entire state of CT.
Rita Xiang
Student
Rita Xiang is a senior at Walker’s. In school, she is
interested in arts, history, and literature. She volunteers in the
Admission Office and Advancement Office as a Cicerone and
Advancement Ambassador, and serves the community as a
Proctor in Smith and Weekend Activities Representative for her
class for the past three years. Outside of school, Rita is passionate
about gender studies and ethnicity studies with the aim to combat sexism and empower women from minority ethnic groups like her. She has also worked on research and projects like documentaries and children’s books.
