I’m a 9th grade college student at Eyüboğlu with average grades. I’m 15 and will turn 16 in May. I play the drums, I draw as to express myself or just for fun, I’ve tried to write poems (I wasn’t very good at it). I bike occasionally and I am interested in architecture and cities and my topic will be based on one of these titles; cities, especially Istanbul and how it has changed over the years with the choices made by us, the residents of İstanbul, and the wrong or correct choices taken by the ministers of their time.

Hello, my name is Carmelita Simla Dwyer. I study as a 10th grade student in Eyuboglu Schools. My goal in life has always been to leave a mark on the people around me. I want to make the world a better place by helping others. Most of my friends would describe me as generous, creative, helpful, determined and intuitive but also a little bit competitive. I am good at reading people and seeing through them. I can always tell when a friend needs more than a hug. I enjoy attending workshops, walking my dog, listening to music, writing novels and doing arts and crafts. I like to think of myself as an innovator always trying to figure out the next thing. My drive and motivation has brought me to many places like the stage of Zorlu Center where I perform every year as a dancer or traveling by myself across the globe since I was 6. I have participated in multiple art forms throughout my life like singing, dancing, and playing the guitar. But the topic that interested me the most is animation. Assoc. Prof. Sevil Akaygun started her career as a chemistry teacher for 12 years. She received her master's degree in Science Education from Boğaziçi University (2000), her master's degree in chemistry (2008) and PhD in chemical education (2009) from University of Northern Colorado. In 2010, she joined the faculty of Boğaziçi University, Department of Mathematics and Science Education. Her research interests include visualizations in chemistry education, STEM education and nanotechnology education. Dr. Akaygun has coordinated various national and international research projects, given seminars and workshops to STEM teachers.
