Brad Kendell
Brad Kendell was born in Clearwater, FL
and graduated from Clearwater High
School and USF (University of South
Florida). He was the only survivor
in a deadly airplane crash in 2003.
He represented the USA in
Paralympic Sailing and won a World
Championship and a Silver Medal in the
2016 Rio de Janeiro Paralympic Games.
Brian Fullem
Brian Fullem is a lifelong runner, one
of the top 10 runners in the United
States during the 1982 High School
indoor track season running a 4:18
mile before moving on to compete at
Bucknell University running 8:50 for 2
miles and 14:25 for 5000 meters while
earning a Chemistry degree. After
coaching 4 years at Dunedin HS, Coach
Fullem coached from 2021 to 2023 at PHUHS.
Claire Elisan
Claire Elisan is the founder of Project
No Labels, a nonprofit with the mission
to unite the LGBTQ+ community with
straight allies through positive activities
and events while promoting volunteerism
and activism. Project No Labels offers high-quality, affordable
mental health therapy through Dear Self, You Are Worth It.
Project No Labels was the recipient of Tampa Bay Business
Journal’s Business of Pride Award in 2018 and was named 3rd
Most Effective Local Nonprofit by Watermark Magazine in 2020.
In 2020, Elisan was named second Favorite Local Activist by
Watermark and one of Business Equality’s 40
LGBTQ Leaders Under 40.
Eliza Lane
Eliza Lane is an IB senior at PHU and a youth
political activist. She has worked with organizations such as
Women’s Advocacy Movement Pinellas, the Charlie Crist for
Governor Campaign and the Florida Freedom to Read Project.
In February 2023, she led a protest to restore Toni Morrison’s
The Bluest Eye to Pinellas County Schools.
Faith Bakke
Faith Bakke is an IB senior at PHU. She
spends a lot of her time with different
ministries in her church including the youth
group and volunteering in the nursery. She
also takes on different leadership roles in
many school clubs, the PHU cross country
team, and a Bible study.
Monica Ehrlich
One of the greatest horrors of human history occurred under Nazi Occupation of various European lands, but what remains unsaid is the lingering generational trauma affecting many families today. Dr. Monica Ehrlich comes from a Polish family that was heavily affected for generations by issues ranging from alcoholism, lack of education, to even a shame in their culture. However, her story is not written by adverse circumstances, instead she breaks the cycle and transforms generational shame into pride.
Prisha Sherdiwala
Prisha Sherdiwala is a senior in the
IB program at PHUHS. She is
involved with the school's Model UN,
Mu Alpha Theta, Science Olympiad
Team, Golf Team, and Chamber
Orchestra. Prisha enjoys giving back to
her community by volunteering with local
anti-discrimination nonprofit Community Tampa Bay, and in
2023 she received the Anne Frank Humanitarian Award. Prisha
plans to pursue Materials Science and Engineering in college.
