All of us have been in the situation where we see an issue or problem that demands attention and ask, “Why isn’t anybody doing anything?” At other times, people around us are acting in questionable ways that merit greater reflection, and we step back and ask, “Is this really the right thing to do?”
Our theme for TEDxLausanne 2013 is “What if we do(n’t)”. With this theme, we want to give visibility to people who have dared to make difficult decisions in times of uncertainty, to question conventional wisdom, and to drive their ideas forward in the interest of a better world. Each of our speakers will have their own unique story to tell about perseverance, courage and achievement. We invite our participants to draw inspiration from these talks and ignite their own dreams of making a positive impact on the world.
