In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Dannier Xiao

Student

Dannier is a PhD student in the area of artificial intelligence, at the University of Warwick, and also a lab teacher for WM919-15 Machine Intelligence and Data Science. Having received his MSc in Advanced Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College London in 2020, Dannier has also worked in the industry for over two years in engineering and finance roles across Rolls Royce Motor Cars, Siemens and Goldacre. Such diverse experiences have given him unique perspectives into AI’s transformative capabilities. In this talk, Dannier shares his insights and outlines a future in which AI not only advances technology, but also enhances human potential.
