In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Puericultrice e Doula del lutto

Ambra, madre di due figli, puericultrice, ha frequentato un master in “Psicologia perinatale e care” al SIPRE di Milano, ed è certificata quale Doula del lutto perinatale. Con un gruppo di mamme ha fondato il progetto “La Fabbrica dei Ricordi”, con cui ha autopubblicato due libri che raccolgono le storie di un centinaio di coppie che hanno vissuto la tragedia di perdere un bambino prima della nascita e accompagna i genitori colpiti da un simile trauma all’elaborazione del loro indicibile dolore. Mother of two children, she is a certified child nurse. She attended a master's in "Perinatal psychology and care" at SIPRE of Milan and got a certification as a perinatal bereavement Doula. Together with a group of mothers, she founded the project "La Fabbrica dei Ricordi" and self-published two books collecting the stories of a hundred couples who have experienced the tragedy of losing a child before birth. She works with parents affected by similar traumas to process their unbearable pain.

Lorenzo Guaraldi alias Mago Pandora

Mentalist

Lorenzo Guaraldi, modenese, secondogenito di sette figli, fin da bambino doveva conquistare i suoi spazi e l’attenzione altrui. Ha viaggiato in più di 20 paesi diversi, si allena 5 giorni a settimana in una spartana home gym, è laureato in Lettere moderne e diplomato in tecniche della narrazione alla scuola Holden. Alla fine la sua passione ha prevalso sulla formazione e ora fa il mentalista a tempo pieno con il nome di Mago Pandora. Born in Modena, as the second son of seven children, Lorenzo has always been focused on conquering his own space and getting the attention of others since childhood. He holds a degree in Modern Literature and a diploma in storytelling techniques from the Holden school. Eventually, his passion prevailed over literature, and now he works as a full-time mentalist under the name of Mago Pandora.

Luigi is one of the most famous skydivers in the world. He holds 11 world records, including the highest free fall speed ever achieved (552 km/h) and the world's smallest parachute jump. In Brazil, he has participated in over 400 episodes of a prime-time TV series aired on national TV. Formerly responsible for training military special forces such as the Navy Seals, the Sky Hawks and the Red Devils, he now also works as a motivational speaker. Luigi Cani è uno degli skydiver più famosi di tutti i tempi. Detiene 11 record mondiali, incluso quello per la maggiore velocità di caduta libera mai raggiunta (552 km orari) e per il lancio con il paracadute più piccolo del mondo. In Brasile è noto per aver partecipato ad oltre 400 episodi di una serie tv in onda in prima serata sulla TV nazionale. E' un artista che vive e lavora a Berlino. Ha studiato Design Interactions alla Royal College of Art di Londra, unendo arte, design e scienza per immaginare il futuro. Maura Malpetti

Scientist

Native to Mantua, Maura works as a researcher at the University of Cambridge. She graduated in Psychology and Neuroscience at the Vita-Salute San Raffaele University. After a PhD in clinical neuroscience at the University of Cambridge, she was a researcher at the University of California and at the Ludwig Maximilian University. She collaborates with Race against Dementia, a charity founded by Formula1 champion Jackie Stewart. Her research focuses on early diagnosis and treatment of dementia. Maura è ricercatrice all'Università di Cambridge. Laureatasi in Psicologia e in Neuroscienze all'Università Vita-Salute San Raffaele, dopo PHD in neuroscienze cliniche all'Università di Cambridge, è stata ricercatrice dell'University of California e dell'Università Ludwig Maximilian. Collabora con Race against Dementia, ente filantropico fondato dall’ex pilota di Formula1 Jackie Stewart. La sua ricerca si concentra sulla diagnosi precoce e la cura di chi viene colpito da questa malattia.

Maurizio Casiraghi

Zoologist

Maurizio si è innamorato degli insetti da bambino e da allora non gli è mai passata questa passione. Oggi insegna Zoologia ed evoluzione all’Università di Milano-Bicocca dove è anche Prorettore alla didattica. Alla passione per gli insetti affianca lo studio delle simbiosi e delle interazioni tra gli organismi viventi perché lo affascina osservare le intricate relazioni tra creature del nostro pianeta. E’ autore di articoli e libri in cui divulga la scienza al grande pubblico. When he was a child, Maurizio fell in love with insects. As this passion has never faded ever since, he now teaches Zoology and Evolution at the University of Milan-Bicocca, where he is also Vice Rector for Education. Maurizio combines his passion for insects with the study of symbiosis and interactions between living organisms, as he is fascinated by the relationships between the different creatures on our planet. He is the author of articles and books, and he makes science understandable to the general public.

Sabrine El Mayel

Sabrine è un artista di 28 anni. Si è laureata all'Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma. Durante gli anni dello studio, ha partecipato a uno scambio Erasmus a Tolosa, partecipando a mostre collettive. In seguito, si è trasferita a Parigi per un master in pittura dal vivo all'Accademia di Parigi. Oggi vive a Roma, dipinge, scrive e con lo pseudonimo “jesuisabrine” crea come divulgatrice dell’arte contenuti di grande successo per i social media. Twenty-eight years old artist, Sabrine has graduated at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome. Over those years, she participated in an Erasmus exchange in Toulouse, participating in group exhibitions. Later, she moved to Paris to obtain a master's degree in live painting at the Paris Academy. Today, she paints, writes, and, under the pseudonym ‘jesuisabrine,’ creates highly successful social media content as an art “disseminator.”

Sara Sorrenti alias Sarafine

Musician and producer

Sarafine è il nome d’arte di Sara Sorrenti. Nata a Salerno nel 1988, ma cresciuta a Vibo Valentia, in Calabria, prima di dedicarsi interamente alla musica, ha vissuto tra Lussemburgo e Belgio occupandosi di fiscalità internazionale presso diverse multinazionali. Finché ha deciso di abbandonare la carriera impiegatizia per provare a vivere di musica. Ha partecipato alla diciassettesima edizione di X Factor Italia, nel 2023, e l’ha vinta. Cantante, musicista, produttrice, compositrice nei suoi brani mescola Dubstep, Tecno, Trap, Drill, e Pop. Sarafine is the artistic name of Sara Sorrenti. Born in Salerno in 1988 but raised in Vibo Valentia, in Calabria, she has worked in Luxembourg and Belgium's taxation field before devoting herself entirely to music. She was one of the contestants at the seventeenth edition of X Factor Italy in 2023, which she eventually won. Laureata in Scienze Politiche, giornalista pubblicista, nel 2014 ha vinto il Premio Ischia per il Comunicatore dell’anno. Lavora con EMERGENCY dal 2001 ed oggi è direttrice dell’Ufficio Comunicazione, occupandosi di sviluppo dei progetti di comunicazione delle attività̀ estere e della cultura della pace. È nel Consiglio Direttivo di EMERGENCY dal 2009. Per Feltrinelli ha curato l'ultimo libro di suo marito, il compianto Gino Strada, dal titolo "Una persona alla volta".She graduated in Political Sciences and has been a freelance journalist; in 2014, she won the Ischia Award for Communicator of the Year. She has worked with EMERGENCY since 2001 and is today the director of the Communication Department, dealing with the development of communication projects for foreign activities and fostering the culture of peace. She has been on the Board of Directors of EMERGENCY since 2009. For Feltrinelli she has been the curator of the last book by her husband, Gino Strada, “One person at a time”.
