From a young age, Amrit has been deeply involved in the family business, following in the footsteps of his grandfather, who is renowned as the "World's Most Experienced Teamaker." Amrit started training in tea tasting at the age of four and has spent considerable time at the Home of Dilmah, honing his skills and partaking in the tasting of over 10,000 cups of tea weekly to perfect his craft, in addition to his role in tea tasting, Amrit contributes to Dilmah's mission of innovation and sustainability. He has also shown a keen interest in photography, capturing the beauty of tea plantations and life in tea, which is part of Dilmah's broader initiative to highlight the heritage and quality of Ceylon tea.
