Anna Yoon

Anna Yoon is a Junior at Daegu International School. Ever since her first AP class on Psychology during Freshman year, she has been extending her love of the subject into various activities. The articles she writes for the flyover, the research contests she competes in, the conferences she attends show how much she enjoys learning more about psychology. This year, she is ready to share her passion through the school’s TEDx event by showing the audience the psychology and neuroscience of elasticity.

Bolt Yi is a senior at Daegu International school. He has founded and led a variety of running clubs including the Computer Science Competition Club, Greenpeace, Highschool Gaming Club, and more. He is interested in Computer Science and math. His life values include resting, gaming, and living efficiently. His hobbies are watching baseball and youtube.

Colin is a junior at Daegu International School with a recognized confidence. He enjoys public speaking and is exhilarated to share his passion in this year’s TEDx Youth. He fell in love with the world of economics and is also leading a club about it. He aims to lead the audience to develop an interest in economics by introducing the concept of elasticity.

Kaylie is an 8th grader at Daegu International School. As an active member of sports, she loves futsal, volleyball and badminton. She is also a member of the Jets Flyover and loves to explore writing new types of articles. Kaylie reveres literary luminaries like J.R.R. Tolkien and Roy Peter Clark, renowned for their masterful canon and ability to captivate readers. When not busy with sports, you'll find Kaylie passionately expressing herself through debates and speeches, making words her superpower. She is also a budding writer, using a pen to paint stories that inform and entertain. With a mind that loves to explore, Kaylie is on a mission to understand the world, one curiosity-filled day at a time.
Kelly Park

Kelly Heejung Park, a 7th-grade student at Daegu International School, savors the joy of youth, from the adrenaline of Formula 1 to the tranquility of skiing. Furthermore, she enjoys and values spending quality time with special people. Despite the nerves that come with public speaking, Kelly is tackling TEDxYouth to create another memory in middle school. Although she is quite young, she hopes to share a personal journey through the emotional landscape of farewells, highlighting the importance of cherishing time with loved ones. This talk aims to empower others to appreciate the time and opportunities they have with their beloved ones in addition to themselves.

Annette Lualhati received her Masters in Science Teaching from De La Salle University in the Philippines. She has been with DIS for eleven years as a Science Teacher. She has taught Earth Science, Physical Science, Chemistry, AP Chemistry, Anatomy and Environmental Science. She has four wonderful children, five lovable grandchildren, two dogs and five persian cats. She finds it a great opportunity to share her ideas on Elasticity from a standpoint in science and in real-life scenarios.
Michelle Doh

Michelle Doh is currently a seventh grader attending Daegu International School. She was born in the U.S. and moved to Korea shortly afterward, where she holds dual citizenship. Michelle has a great attitude and strives to be the best at what she does. She enjoys interacting with others and demonstrates leadership skills to encourage and help others when working together. Nowadays, she feels very rewarded and content when she helps others through clubs like NJHS. From K-pop to classical music, she enjoys a wide variety of music, and she enjoys expressing herself through creative mediums such as music and art. She feels happy when she is lying in bed with the window open and listening to music. For her, religion is one of the essentials she has in her life. Through her TEDx talk, she looks forward to talking about her multiple identities.
Sankeeth Udayakumar

Sankeeth, currently a sophomore at Daegu International School, is excited for his first TEDxYouth talk. Born in the small city of Kanchipuram in southern India, Sankeeth moved to Daegu, South Korea at the age of 2. Although an intermediate in his public speaking abilities, he aims to develop his communication skills through MUN, Speech, and Debate. One fun fact about Sankeeth: he is enthusiastic about the camera, from peaceful, calming nature stills to fast-paced sports photography; he is ardent about it all.

DIS veteran Selina Son breaks her silence after last her speech two years ago that analyzed Gen-Z humor and its trends. With confidence, extroversion, and a dash of charisma, she prepares her speech. From social issues to science conspiracies, Selina knows it all. As the president of SOAR and string orchestra, Selina graces the TEDX sphere with bubbles of entertainment and joy.
Victoria Kang

Victoria is a freshman and is active as a student-athlete in her second year of Daegu International School. She moved from Korea when she was younger and spent three years in Canada before enrolling as a Daegu International School student. She plays volleyball and basketball, juggling them with her studies. Her favorite subject in school is Biology. She wants to study kinesiology and sports medicine to become a professional sports medicine doctor. The theme of this year's TEDx, elasticity, caught her eye as she moved toward her dream. In this event, Victoria wants to talk about the experience of her own and one of the athletes that she is a fan of that relates to elasticity.
William Seo

William Seo is an 8th grader at Daegu International School. He was born in Daegu and moved to New Zealand and came back when he was six years old. He is very interested in the worldwide economy and politics. In his spare time, he likes to play badminton, read, and watch entertainment shows. He is also a huge fan of 2010s pop songs. He has joined many different speech-related classes, such as speech contests, debates, and more. In this year’s TEDx event, he is planning to examine the value of indigenous knowledge and traditions in a rapidly changing world. He will address contemporary global challenges pursuing to this topic as well.
