Theme: Butterfly Effect

On Saturday 13th of April, the eleventh edition of TEDxUHasselt, an event of international class organised by twelve dedicated students of Hasselt University, will take place. The event will take place at the Diepenbeek campus and the doors will be open from 4pm.

This year's speakers include speakers such as Steven Laureys, an award-winning brain scientist, Sally Trivino, an expert in crisis management and Patrick Pickart, a hypnotist. Besides inspiring speakers, you can also expect impressive musical interludes and a dance act. The evening will end with a reception where you can network with other interested parties.

Best of all, the event is free to the public! Registration is still open until 1 April 2023 at www.tedxuhasselt.be/tickets. The event is the perfect opportunity to network, get new ideas and get yourself inspired by the speakers' stories.

He owns a museum dedicated to hypnosis, which houses thousands of books and other items related to the subject. His life's mission is to promote hypnosis through lectures, workshops, and demonstrations around the world.

Saartje Vandendriessche worked at VRT, a Belgian broadcast, for 17 years? She made several adventurous television shows. Shows in which Saartje had to get out of her comfort zone and was confronted with fascinating challenges.

Sally Trivino is a commercial engineer with a solid foundation in computer science. She has nearly two decades of experience in detecting and investigating corporate crimes such as corruption and bribery, fraud, and anti-trust matters. Currently, Sally is a partner at Ernst & Young after starting her career and spending 18 years at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Sally has led and worked with cross disciplinary teams that apply their skills on intricate high-stakes investigations for many corporations or governmental institutions around the world.

Tommaso Bordoni

Entrepreneur + Tailor

Former homeless person, mountain climber and 32-year-old tailor from Leuven, that’s what describes Tommaso the best. He has achieved a remarkable feat by reaching the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa.
