Theme: Terraformare

In mid-20th-century science fiction literature, as the space race fueled fantasies of galactic travel and interstellar civilizations, the neologism “terraforming” first appeared, a term for a series of artificial processes designed to make an inhospitable planet more like our world. Today, although our technical possibilities are far from any terraforming, the concept seems to be returning to public debate and social conversations in response to our planet's increasing degree of unlivability: climate change, polarization, international tensions, intolerance, and the hostile mutation of cities and technology increasingly lead us to imagine what would happen if we were given the chance to start from scratch, far from here, far from the world we have built, and thus, ultimately, far from our responsibilities.

But even if it were possible, moving to another planet while maintaining the same habits and beliefs would still lead to the same outcome. That is why we have no choice: the only planet we can terraform, the only celestial body we can “make more habitable,” the only space we can “make more livable” is our own.
How? By terraforming, first of all, our own ideas.
