Theme: Mindful living in the digital era.

Inspired by TED's commitment to "ideas worth spreading", the NGP School hosted the TEDEd Students Talks in the year 2021 exclusively for its students.

TEDx The NGP School Coimbatore is in line with the progressive spirit of the students of The NGP School and the city of Coimbatore at large. It intends to bring like-minded people together, foster game-changing dialogues and widen perspectives to address real world complexities.

The Theme “Mindful living in the digital era”, a unanimous choice of the student speakers reflects the heightened need for intentional thoughtful actions leading to a fulfilling engagement with digital tasks.

The theme likely resonates with the students’ current lifestyle, as they may have experienced the impact of excessive screen time, digital distractions, and the influence of social media on mental health. By delving into this theme, students aim to explore and share insights on fostering a balance between the benefits and the drawbacks of the digital era, emphasising the importance of mindfulness in achieving overall well-being.

Additionally, the choice underscores a broader intention to initiate meaningful conversations about responsible technology use, digital literacy and the societal implications of our interconnected digital world.

" This young leader won a special mention in the Global Conclave Model United Nations (YGLC) a mega event organized by Global Leaders Forum (GLF) at PSG College of Technology early this year.

Founder - Nritta Academy-Nrittayoga :Yoga and Bharatanatyam.

Dheepika completed her undergraduate studies at PSG and pursued her passion for education with a post-graduation MBA from SRM University. She was also engaged in NSS activities and undertook an advanced mountaineering course at Nehru Institute of Mountaineering in Uttarkashi, showcasing her dedication to personal growth and community service.Her varied experiences in IT, finance, manufacturing, and education has enriched her ability by fostering a holistic approach to professional and personal development. Driven by an entrepreneurial spirit, Ms.Dheepika founded her own business at a young age with her lifelong passion for Yoga and holistic wellness.With over a decade of experience,Ms Dheepika’s teachings in Yoga have empowered countless individuals, fostering increased flexibility, physical strength, reduced stress, heightened mindfulness and profound inner peace among her students.

Harshitha enjoys standing before an audience & expressing her thoughts. This boosts her confidence and also offers her a calming sensation. She sees chartered accountancy as challenging & rewarding and wishes to pursue it as her career. Also, the beauty of colours & crafts fascinate her as she loves drawing, painting and knitting. She loves story telling & believes in the power of stories. Harshitha, being a voracious reader, has participated in several inter-school oratorical competitions and has also won several prizes.

Hashini enjoys learning- learning from books, learning from experiences, learning from people, learning from all possible sources. She likes to read books and spend time with the people around her. She aspires to become an archaeologist because history and ancient civilizations have always fascinated her.

Hasini S of grade 11 at the NGP School is a trained dancer and choreographer who has completed her arangetram. She has also given her grade exams in Bharathanatyam.

This dedication has led to his diverse works in education, environmental protection and empowerment, profoundly enhancing his ability to learn, adapt, and grow. Mr. Janardhan is a National Geographic Certified Educator, a School Innovation Ambassador, and an IIM-trained trainer. With an M.Phil. and a Master’s Degree in Sociology, Mr. Janardhan brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in all that he undertakes. She is also a recipient of several accolades such as "The Most Inspirational Women Award 2018" and Fantastic Women Award 2022 for her work in empowering and strengthening women’s self-confidence & personality development. Rashitha has an artistic bent of mind and enjoys creating paintings during her free time. She eagerly embraces opportunities to learn new skills and develop diverse talents, recognizing that such experiences foster her personal growth. Known for her articulation skills, Rashmitha potrays herself as a strong public speaker. As a science enthusiast, she had participated in a National level STEM based competition conducted by 1M1B One million for 1 billion, in association with IBM. Rashmitha lead the team with her innovative ideas and under her leadership, the team designed a sustainable trash bin. This project fetched them the position of being among the Top 3 National Level winners. Rashmitha aspires to leverage her talents and leadership abilities as a change maker to create meaningful and positive impact in her surroundings.

Tejas, is an extensive researcher who complements his knowledge through his explorations. His ambition is to become a robotic engineer and he is excited about the future and looks forward to contributing to advancements in robotics.
