Aslı Dede

Sustainability Communications Consultant

Graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Political Sciences, Faculty of Public Administration with a bachelor's degree in Public Administration and a master's degree in Publicity and Public Relations. She studied marketing communication in the USA. She worked in marketing communications, business, product and content development in Turkey's first corporate digital projects. She produces content for sustainability communication. She develops impact-oriented social responsibility projects for children, youth and adults. With the "Sustainability Intelligence" model, of which she is one of the developers, she works for the development of sustainability mindset and skills. With the Sustainable Living School project, she received an award in the Social Initiative category of the Innovation in Education Association "Sustainability in Education Awards" in 2023.

Cemal Tosun

CFO

Schneider Electric Turkey Central Asia and Pakistan Region CFO and Strategy Executive Vice President Cemal Tosun graduated from Marmara University, Faculty of Administrative and Economic Sciences, Department of Business Administration in English in 2006 and completed his undergraduate studies in International Marketing and Business Administration at Haaga-Helia University of Applied Science in Finland. Cemal started his career in financial auditing at an international company in 2007. As of December 2022, Cemal Tosun has assumed the role of CFO and Chief Strategy Officer for the Turkey, Central Asia and Pakistan Region, leading the company's strategy, which includes sustainability, data architecture and transformation as well as financial leadership, and plays a role in achieving regional goals in a multicultural organization.

Güneşin Aydemir

Food Activist

Güneşin Aydemir studied biology. After getting acquainted with bird watching, she started to work in the field of nature conservation and civil society. She worked in organizations such as Turkish Nature Conservation Association, Wildlife Conservation Association, Nature Association and Buğday Association. In 2007, she migrated to Mount Ida, where she took part in the establishment of Çamtepe Ecological Life Center and Bir Tohum Foundation. She still lives in the same region and is interested in human-nature issues.

Ozan Erdinç

Academician

He is the President of the Department of Information Processing at Yıldız Technical University and Head of the Department of Alternative Energy Electrical Systems in the Department of Electrical Engineering. He is the editor of Optimization in Renewable Energy Systems and one of the two editors of Pathways to a Smarter Power System. He has over 100 international publications and an h-index of 26 according to WoS and 34 according to Google Scholar. He has served as Honorary Chair, General Chair, Technical Chair and Technical Committee Member in many IEEE sponsored scientific activities. He is the recipient of Portugal Science, Research and Technology National Support 2014 Postdoctoral Research Award, 2020 Turkish Academy of Sciences Outstanding Young Scientist Award and 2021 IEEE Turkey Research Incentive Award.

Selcan Çatal

Sustainability Management

She graduated from Bahçeşehir University, Energy Systems Engineering with the Board of Trustees Scholarship. She is responsible for Sustainability Management at Algbio Initiative. She teaches sustainability at Acıbadem University. Cleantech continues to work on digital sustainability solutions with a focus on "Net Zero". She organizes social responsibility activities with many associations, especially United Nations Agencies around the world. His work has been supported by many organizations, especially the Community Volunteers Foundation, (Turkey Exporters Assembly (TIM).

Volkan Narcı

Chairman of the Board of Marine Life Conservation Association

He graduated from Eskişehir University, Faculty of Business Administration and started his corporate career. He managed lots of projects as an executive. He ended his active business life and returned to Istanbul Islands where he spent his childhood. His new life adventure, which started as a fisherman, continued in Adalar City Council / Life with the Sea and Protection Working Group, Adalar Search and Rescue. His civil society journey continues as the founding president of the Marine Life Protection Association. He realized Turkey's first and only coral transplantation project. He continues to work on the realization of important projects for the future of nature and human life, such as cleaning and recycling abandoned ghost nets on the seabed, creating Marine Protected Areas including the Marmara Sea. He continues to carry out many National and International projects under the umbrella of DYKD, Cmas fisherman training, awareness raising activities on sailing and sustainability.
