Aamna Amir

her time studying more than just about dreams. Astronomy, art and science take up most of her
interests, and she wishes to advance deeper into these fields, learning to find the answer to

Amina Asghar is a student from Year 12, and she is keen on trying new things cause life is
quite short. She is quite dedicated towards her academic goals and personal goals. One of her
goals is becoming a Doctor, that is what she is currently working to achieve. She is going to
speak about some goals or dreams we set for ourselves.
Archana Anil Das
Archana Anil Das is a student of The Cambridge high school and is currently in year 11
doing her IGCSEs. She is an ambitious student pursuing her interest in the field of mathematics
and science. She is a culinary enthusiast and a Grade 8 Trinity vocals student. With a passion
for both cooking and music, she thrives on creativity and expression each avenue offers. She
loves seeking out new experiences and perspectives to enrich her understanding of the world.
She covers these dreams of hers in her TEDx talk, and talks about how she overcame
obstacles in the way.
Arwa Bambora
Arwa Bambora is currently in year 13 and a student at CHS. She is a dedicated and
passionate individual who strives for progress in every aspect of her life. Her strengths lie in
self-motivation and being outgoing. She is eager to enhance her leadership, innovation, and
financial management skills over time. Her goal to achieve through her TEDx talk is to inspire
and empower others to pursue their passions and excel in their chosen fields, as well as talk
about her own struggles along the way of pursuing her dream, and how she still persevered.

Dhruvi Patel is a student in year 12 at Cambridge High School. She is passionate about
making a difference. From a young age, she was always intrigued by the journey of transforming
innovative ideas into tangible realities. Over the years, her dreams and goals might have
evolved from journalism to law and now to business. However, her passion to ensure she leaves
her mark in society has always remained the same. She talks about the importance of
perseverance in achieving her dreams, and urges everyone to do the same.

Judi Ghoneim-- A 16 years old in year 12, enjoys every moment because each moment is
special, she is entertained by science studies seeking to make her own discoverys and the most
important thing she is a cat lover. She believes that there is a diamond in every person,waiting
for the light to shine

Methmika Premarathne
Methmika Premarathne is a student of CHS, year 12B1, currently preparing for their AS
level examination. He came to the UAE in 2018 and since then his life began shifting a lot. He
discovered new things and started understanding, to an extent, how the world he lives in works.
His academic preferences also saw change from Yr7 to 11. As a child he always wanted to be a
doctor. However, he soon lost his fascination in that field and turned to humanities and arts in
year 10. As of late and after years of changing, he sees passion in pursuing music, arts, politics
or even law. This obviously took effort and time for him to figure out, and he talks about this
journey where he wants to do what exactly he wants against societal pressures, and work
towards true happiness - which to him, is devoid of material satisfactions. He hopes with his
speech he is able to help others find this too
Momina Faheem Ahmad
Momina Ahmad is in year 12, and is currently completing her AS levels. She takes the
opportunity to talk about how dreams often have a dark side to them, blindsiding those who
never reach up or take the courage to step out, and she offers anecdotes on how to step up and
reach above, so as not to succumb to these growing pains.

Sana Syed
Sana Syed is a year 12 student studying at CHS. She’s always had an interest in public
speaking from a very young age, which is what drove her to pursue a career in law. She also is
an avid reader, which has taught her a lot about the world. She wanted to join TEDx as a way to
get her story out there about her journey in discovering what she wants independent of others,
and she hopes this story inspires others in similar situations.
Senula Punal
Senula Punal, aged 16, is currently enrolled in year 12. His passions lie in reading,
paleontology, and astronomy. He aspires to pursue a career as a mechanical engineer at NASA,
with a vision to delve into the mysteries of space utilizing custom-built rovers and spacecraft. His
ultimate goal is to make a significant difference in human society through his endeavors,
whether through groundbreaking discoveries or by serving as an inspiration to fellow aspiring
astronomers and engineers. He talks about how his dreams had transitioned throughout his life,
but how his love and determination to achieve them has stayed the same.
Shreyas Rajesh
Shreyas Rajesh is a student from Year 13. Public speaking is something that he has
always been passionate about. Participating in MUN conferences has been a key enabler in
allowing him to engage in fruitful conversations with others with varying perspectives of certain
issues. He is someone who never takes ‘I don’t know’ as an answer and finds different methods
to satiate his curiosity for knowledge. One of the most integral components of his life has been
the piano. Aside from his joy gained from pursuing this hobby, it has taught him various skills
like perseverance and cultural appreciation. He talks about his dreams for himself as well as his
dreams for the world through the Sustainable Development Goals, tying it together with MLK
Jr.’s “I have a dream”.
Srinandan Patra
Srinandan is a student from year 11 and is a diehard football fan with a deep love for
education, more specifically the subject economics. He always hold his family and friends close
to his heart. During free time, he enjoys playing badminton, basketball, and cricket. He talks
about how to deal with the growing pressures of education, and how his interests in sports
makes him happy and keeps him going.
Tanush Jha
Tanush is a year 11 student studying at the Cambridge High School. He’s interested in
computer science (specifically software development!) and enjoy reading comics, listening to
music, and studying history in his free time! He runs a blog called The Social Theorist where he
discusses and dives deep into major societal and technological changes shaping the world. He
aspires to create software that can be used all around the world one day!
