In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Trained as a clinical therapist, Ms Aarti works extensively with Developmental Trauma and Attachment Wounds. A Senior Psychologist and APSATS Board Member, who is passionate about providing mental health care and support to individuals, couples, and families who are struggling with various issues, such as trauma, addiction, conflict, and stress. She also has a Master's degree in Psychology from Delhi University and 11+ years of experience in the field. She has achieved significant success working with individuals, both adults and children and she has found her true calling in helping people heal themselves from inside and out. Aarti’s portfolio of work also includes work with those in the sphere of emotional and behavioural challenges. She works tirelessly with teenagers and young adults who are most at risk from self-harm, suicide, depression, eating disorders and body image issues.

Damita Jain

As sweet as a bee, as fresh as a daisy, Damita is an enthusiastic, extroverted student. She uses writing as a way to express herself. All the elements of facing adversities while living far from home, on a full scholarship in Singapore, inspired her to talk about something that everyone could or would relate to in the next few years. She might seem closed off and shy at first, but Damita is one of the most friendly people who'd love talking to you for hours about anything. With the burst of craziness with which she enters a room, she makes sure to efficiently complete all tasks that come her way. As part of an NYC based zine called "alfaaz", Damita aims to bring impactful changes in the world through her writing.
