Daewe Aung

Student

Ms. Daewe Aung is a student at the International School of Bangkok. With a passion for writing and reading, her leisure activities include decorating her daily bullet journal and diary, where she records the exciting events of her life. She also has an interest in reading and writing published articles and op-eds. She won the Harvard Debate Council in the summer of 2023, showcasing her brilliant speaking skills.

Dr. Rev. A. Asabha

International Buddhist Scholar and Meditation Master

From a young age, Dr. Asabha dedicated himself to Buddhism. Despite his limited early education, he had the opportunity to ordain as a novice at twelve in his native village and as a monk at the age of twenty. Fortunately, he had the chance to study Buddhism. He earned a B.A. from the State Pariyatti Sasana University in Mandalay, Myanmar, an M.A. from the University of Kelaniya in Sri Lanka, and a Ph.D. degree from the University of Mumbai in India. Currently, he is performing missionary work as a meditation master in Myanmar and abroad.

Joseph Costello

AP Economics and Business Studies Teacher at ISM

He is currently the AP Economics and Business Studies Teacher at ISM. As an Educational Leader and Athletic Developer with an M.Ed and MBA, he has achieved the roles of 4x All-American, 2x National Champion, President of the Cambodian Lacrosse Federation, and was the Former head of Men's and Women's lacrosse at Durham University.

Scarlet Hsu Shin Moe

Ever since Hsu Shin Moe, Scarlet rose from her mother’s womb, she has clung onto the synonyms of placid and pursued a peak embodiment of inexplicable erratic personas: an avid reader, Can’t-Pronounce-Unequviocable-If-Her-Life-Depended-On-it, and a (full-time) stupendous addict to the Thesaurus. This remains veracious, even up until her freshmen year at the International School of Myanmar. Despite her ostensible capricious nature, she is just like any other teenager–burdened with the seemingly undiminished struggle of procrastination and a helpless dweller of the past. Nevertheless, these adversities, albeit ubiquitous, have unlocked another scope of her character and enlightened her on the remarkable lessons she hopes to share!

Tianhao Chua

Entrepreneur

Tianhao Chua is an entrepreneurial visionary with a passion for empowering others. A former management consultant with a firm co-founded by Michael Porter, Tianhao is also the Co-founder of Foodmania, home to iconic brands like Ocha Bubble Tea and Mook Mookata buffet restaurant, boasting over 20 outlets across Myanmar. Leveraging his background in management consultancy and personal entrepreneurial journey, he co-founded Theco, a consultancy and coaching firm to guide enterprises through entrepreneurship complexities, fostering resilience and sustainability. Through his forthcoming TEDx talk, Tianhao endeavors to empower entrepreneurs by sharing his OUT principles, which have been his guiding light throughout his journey.
