While in school, she was the founding V.P. of membership and charter member of the Natural Talkers (a Toastmaster’s International Club), V. President of her class, Student member of the Higher Learning Commission, elected student representative, and voting member of the Arizona Naturopathic Medical Association Board of Directors, the FL state representative for Naturopathic Public Awareness Campaign and the first student sales representative for Metagenics in which she developed the ‘Learning Lunch’ concept.
Millicent Wright Sweeting
Dr. Sweeting attended Valdosta State University, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and followed by a Master of Public Administration. She worked in the corporate management field for BellSouth Telecommunication for more than 15 years, then decided on a career change. She then obtained a Teacher Certification from Brenau University, which started her educational career. During this time, she obtained an Educational Specialist degree, followed by a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership K-12 from Argosy University. Dr. Sweeting went on to teach for two years in the Nassau County School District in Florida. During this tenure as an educator, she also served as the Exceptional Student Education Team Lead, and Department Coordinator, and was awarded Yulee Middle School Teacher of the Year, and Nassau County Teacher of the Year Finalist following her first year of teaching. She later joined the team of educators in Camden County School District in Georgia where she served for 10 years. She participated in several educational settings where she taught middle school language arts in the gifted and general education program for two years, then transitioned back to the special education program where she taught middle school language arts, math, science, and social studies. She also served as the Department Coordinator until her departure in 2014.

She received her undergraduate degree from Southern University and A&M College before moving to Oklahoma where she earned her Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed a residency in adult psychiatry at the University of Oklahoma School of Community Medicine. She received her Master's in Public Health from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
