TEDxYouth@SPH is an annual conference that brings together Indonesia's leading thinkers and doers to share ideas that matter in any discipline. This is our sixth event. We at TEDx believe in “ideas worth spreading,”. TED, as of July 2022, has been viewed over two billion times worldwide.

TEDxYouth@SPH 2024 is a student-organized talkshow by the students of Sekolah Pelita Harapan Lippo Village. It is a one-day event hosted in Senayan Park (SPARK) on January 13, 2024. The event includes a talkshow, conference and community gathering.

This year's speaker roster includes Winaya Satasya, Daffa Wardhana, David Tjokrorahardjo, Helen Schleper, Felix Saputra, Emmeline Hambali, and Julvyanno Nanda.

Daffa Wardhana

Actor

Daffa Wardhana is an Indonesian Actor. His interest in the film Industry sparked from joining the Indonesian Film Festival committee in 2017 when he was a student at the University of Melbourne. His first Series debut was Married With Senior in 2022, and his film debut was Panduan Mempersiapkan Perpisahan which world premiered at JAFF (Jogja Asian-Netpac Asian Film Festival). He has starred in multiple Indonesian series & films on various OTT/ Cinema platforms and continues to dream to be one of Indonesia’s leading actors. Daffa also contributes to various passion projects; Sekolah Relawan volunteer, and also his entrepreneurial ventures; Tujuhan Podcast & Sigga Activewear.

David Tjokrorahardjo

Business Leadership Coach & Managing Principal at MD Co.

David Tjokrorahardjo is a business leadership coach, a communicator of ideas, a multi-national entrepreneur, and an investor. He pursued his bachelor's degree at Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, New Jersey majoring in Business & Technology. Currently, David is the managing principal of MD Co., a venture builder, where he coaches entrepreneurs to build their first million-dollar company. MD Co. has adopted a few start-up companies: Tribelio (community platform), M Kitchen (catering), Dream Planner (publisher), GLO (gamification), Kopi M (coffee), and more, growing to more than 300 members. David is also a partner at Sovereign's Capital, a U.S. private equity firm that invests globally in technology, health care, and consumer products & services. David is the chairman of the board of directors of Sekata Indonesia Perkasa (SIP) and Enlight Consulting. In addition, David also sits on the advisory board of LandX, SIP Institute, and @imp.ak (Indonesia Membangun Pemimpin).

Emmeline Hambali

Group Managing Director at Dynapack Asia

Emmeline heads Dynapack Asia’s Shared Services, consisting of Material Sourcing, Human Resources, Information Technology, Strategy Management, and Sustainability. Her ability to leverage on the group’s capabilities, resources, and footprint across Asia, is critical to the growth the group has enjoyed. She was especially pivotal in the implementation of SAP (2003) and Strategy Management (2012). Before joining Dynapack Asia, Emmeline started her career as a Consultant in Andersen, Sydney, Australia. Emmeline has a Bachelor of Science degree in Management from the Caroll School of Management, Boston College, Massachusetts, United States. She is a mother of 3 who is passionate about creating the next generation of leaders.

Felix Saputra

Government Member

57% of Indonesian have dental problems but only 10.2% can get proper dental treatments. Starting his career in the Governor’s Office, under Ahok, Saputra had been inspired to make impact through their working together. After graduating from UC Berkley, as a fresh graduate working in the government office, despite having limited experience at the time, he was lucky enough to feel the satisfaction of witnessing how even simple tasks can make impact in other people’s lives. He never thought something as simple as planning meat distribution for low-income people can be that impactful. Moving from the government to professional career, Saputra experienced working in five different industries and three different company setups. He now works at Satu Dental with a mission to bring access and awareness to proper dental treatment. For Felix, the key to achieve this success is to know one’s passion.

Helen Schleper

Academic Principal at Sekolah Pelita Harapan Lippo Village

Helen Schleper, a Korean-American educator, is happily married to her best friend, Scott. Together, they have shared 15 years of love, laughter, and support for each other. Alongside her loving marriage, Helen is a proud mother to two remarkable sons, Solomon and Paul. Despite having lived in three different countries and nine different U.S. states, she considers the city of San Jose, her hometown. With 21 years of experience in education, Helen has cherished her roles as both a classroom teacher and a leader in international Christian education. Currently, she holds the position of Academic Principal at Sekolah Pelita Harapan Lippo Village. Her professional journey has taken her to various corners of the world, including eleven years at a high-poverty public school in San Jose, five years at an international Christian school in Phnom Penh, and this is now her sixth year in Jakarta. When Helen is not working, she enjoys traveling, shopping, watching movies, and drinking lattes.

Julvyanno Nanda

Chief of Commercial and Business at IXI Sports & Leisure

Born in Jakarta on July 7 1994, from a mixed Padang & Central Javanese family, Yanno studied for 9 years at Islamic primary and secondary schools, continued at vocational school majoring in Food & Beverages, and graduated in 2012. He continued his career working in several restaurants and hotels, tasting various positions such as; Kitchen Staff, Waiter, Bartender, F&B Attendant, and Receptionist before leaving the hotel industry in 2023 as Sales Manager for an international hotel chain. Yanno has also been a running enthusiast, he participates in commercial running events ranging from 5K to ultra marathon. In 2019, Yanno was provided the opportunity to become a master of ceremonies at a running event, which continues to be his career path to this day. Yanno also hosts a podcast channel "Want to Chat Podcast" where he discusses sports from various cultural and social perspectives.

Winaya Satasya

Musical Artist

Winaya is a burgeoning musician whose talent has garnered the attention of the renowned international music label, Sony Music Entertainment Indonesia. Despite her initial lack of professional experience in the music industry, Winaya embarked on her journey as a singer with Sony Music in 2021. She has meticulously crafted and released three songs, each marked by its distinct musical genres and thematic depth. Simultaneously, Winaya is pursuing a Master's degree at the esteemed University of Edinburgh, specializing in International Animal Welfare, Ethics, and Law. Her commitment extends beyond academia, as she actively volunteers her time and expertise to non-governmental organizations for animals in Indonesia.
