In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Conrrado Moscoso

Athlete

Conrrado Moscoso ventured into the world of racquetball from an early age, and continues to accumulate countless medals throughout his career, both inside and outside Bolivia. The highlight came when he was crowned world racquetball champion. Other notable achievements include his titles as Pan American Games champion and Pan American champion. In addition, he was awarded the 2023 Athlete of the Year award by The World Games, USA.

Daniel Ardiles

Communicator

Daniel graduated in Business Engineering in 2008 from the Universidad Católica Boliviana San Pablo, combining his passion for business with his love for music, which he cultivated at the Conservatory of La Paz. As a prominent member of the rock band "Antix", Daniel not only masters the guitar, but also excels as a vocalist. His foray into television began with the rock show "Axesso" on Bolivia TV, followed by his participation as a host on different Bolivian television channels, which made him gain even more popularity. He also has an important passion for soccer, where he has acquired a very interesting background.

Lijia Avilés

Doctor - Specialist in Oncology

Graduated from the Universidad Mayor de San Andrés (UMSA), she specialized at the Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA) and did internships at the Massachusetts General Hospital and Dana Farber Cancer Center in Boston. Her quest for knowledge led her to obtain Masters Degrees in High Technologies in Radiotherapy and in Radiosurgery in Madrid. With more than 10 years of experience in prestigious hospitals in Buenos Aires, Dr. Avilés returned to Bolivia, leading the creation of the first high-tech cancer center in the country. In 2018, together with her team, she performed the first radiosurgery in Bolivia. Lijia is a board member of ALATRO, where she has contributed with publications in high impact scientific journals and is a speaker at international congresses, being a reference for Bolivia. Currently, she is Director of Radiotherapy at the Oncoservice clinic and founder of the Latin American Association of Women in Oncology (ALAMO).

Recognized with multiple awards, her commitment to excellence and social responsibility has been rewarded over the years. As a speaker and facilitator, Pamy shares her valuable experience in leadership and entrepreneurship on various platforms, from universities to global summits.

Samuel Doria Medina

Entrepreneur and prominent economist

Samuel built Green Tower in La Paz, the tallest and most modern building in Bolivia, and leads large real estate projects in Santa Cruz de la Sierra. He owns Los Tajibos, the country's leading five-star hotel, and the Burger King restaurant chain in Bolivia. For 27 years he was owner and president of Sociedad Boliviana de Cemento (SOBOCE), which he turned into the most important industry in the country. He introduced social responsibility in Bolivia. With a Master's degree in Public Finance from the London School of Economics, he is the creator and supporter of the Innovation and Technology Centers (CITES), which train and provide technical support to micro-entrepreneurs in various areas. In addition, Samuel is the creator of the Emprende Ideas contest, which encourages entrepreneurship as a means of livelihood and community development. As a speaker, and with his millions of followers on social networks, he shares advice on business success and the country's economic situation.

Sergio Basco

Specialist in Education and Digital Transformation

Graduate in Business Creation and Development, with postgraduate degrees in the area of Development Project Management, Higher Education and courses in Design Thinking from the University of Virginia School of Business. He is part of the ConexiónLab project, which seeks to generate digital transformation in rural areas of Bolivia and Latin America. Host and creator of the Insustituible program. His vision has led to the successful training of more than 4,000 young people, overcoming challenges and being recognized nationally and internationally. Sergio's commitment to economic empowerment highlights the importance of digital skills in building a solid future.

Yamil Cardenas

College educator

His expertise is supported by a Master's Degree in Flexible and Intelligent Systems from the Bolivian Catholic University, demonstrating his dedication to technology and innovation. Yamil not only stands out in the technical field, but his commitment to education shines with a Diploma in Neuroeducation, conducted in collaboration with UNICEF Cerebrum and the Bolivian Catholic University.
