Theme: Interdyscyplinary Thinking

In an era of rapid technological and societal changes, the ability to think and work across multiple disciplines is a critical skill. Unfortunately Polish Education system discourages students to increase knowledge compelling them to learn material from school. Our Tedx event aims to inspire and empower students to embrace interdisciplinary thinking, which is essential for addressing complex global challenges. Our TEDx conference will showcase and celebrate the idea of being an interdisciplinary person.

Adam Dejda

I am an ambitious individual, consistently striving towards my goals, with significant achievements in academic competitions such as the Economics Knowledge Olympiads and other nationwide contests. My primary interests include the global economic situation, the role of institutions in monetary policy, and quantitative finance methods, I devote my spare time to analysis of IMF reports, BIS research, and reading publications like "Financial Times" and "Bloomberg". Despite these intense scholarly interests, I make time for my passions, such as watching NBA games and playing basketball, believing that sports perfectly complement intellectual activity, helping maintain a balance between body and mind.

Adrian Kobyłecki

Compassionate jack of all trades: a 23-year-old student of financial markets and economics, an avid fan of psychology, poetry, bodybuilding, and spirituality. Actively engaged in university life as the Chairman of SKN Paradygmat UŁ and a Member of WRSS Ek-Soc UŁ. Having delved into his psyche since early adolescence, he has developed a unique decision-making framework that guides him through life. As a long-term thinker, he advocates that constructing beliefs and behaviors grounded in his and others' "values" is the fundamental key for leading a fulfilling life.

I am a young scientist, passionate about medicine and global health, whose independent microbiology research project has received national and international acclaim, including recognition at the London International Youth Science Forum. I have been awarded multiple STEM and academic scholarships, including the 1st place nationally in the “medicine and medical sciences” in the Adamed SmartUp scholarship program. I am currently involved in the Neurodiverse Foundation, the Adamed Foundation, and previously held the role of the lead organizer of Warsaw Science Slam. On a personal note, I am passionate about French language and culture, especially of the 60s, and have placed 2nd in the French Language Olympiad.

I'm a 23-year-old student navigating the worlds of graphic design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw and art history at the University of Warsaw, with a special focus on feminism. My studies revolve around delving into and appreciating the artworks created by women. In my academic journey, I'm passionate about promoting equality and creating a more inclusive space in the artistic realm.

Antonii Koniak

Fourteen-year-old Antoni Koniak from MyGrooveAdventure is one of several teenagers worldwide who regularly create music on handpan instruments and share it on their social media. Antek shares it for example on YouTube platform through his channel MyGrooveAdventure https://www.youtube.com/@mygrooveadventure. Despite his young age, he has already had around 30 performances. Antoni began his musical journey at the age of 5 with percussion, and four years ago, he added handpans to his repertoire. During his TEDx performance, he will talk about the Interdisciplinarity in playing the handpan and present this world's youngest instrument.

🔴 We introduce to you our speaker - Eldar Mukhtarov! I am a double degree Computer Science student at the Technical University of Łódź (TUL) and the University of Łódź (UL). I am passionate about AI and game development, and I have created my own indie game studio - DuoMind Games. I enjoy participating in game jams, while also keeping up with the latest trends in AI. I am also a winner of a few STEAM related competition and festivals that have further boosted my knowledge of the current technologies. One of my personal projects was to create a fully functional game using mostly AI to prove and test its use cases.. And I did it. You will hear more about it during my speech.

Kajetan Krysiński

Third grade high school student in Łódź, contestant of the Olympiad of Literature and Polish Language, lover of poetry and philosophy, bibliophile. I am deeply fascinated by mythologies and how they affect human perception of the world. In my meditations, I analyse the topic of cognition, especially the concept of changes in human identity in the context of time. I consider the idea of hope as crucial in discovering the truth about the world. My favourite writers are Homer, William Shakespeare and Neil Gaiman, whereas in philosophy thinkers I find the most inspiring are Marcus Aurelius, John Locke and Erich Fromm. I love spending my free time playing the guitar, reading classics and listening to my beloved band, The Beatles.

Michalina Krzywańska

Michalina Krzywańska is a high school senior dedicated to expanding alternative forms of education for youth. As an educational activist, her main areas of interest are studying abroad, whether high school exchange or college, and homeschooling. Michalina represents young voices at government-related meetings, encouraging government officials to listen to the youth. She also partakes in many educational podcasts sharing her story with alternative education. As a former exchange student, she volunteers at YFU, an exchange organization sending students to study abroad. In free time she has left she is an artist, immersing herself in the beauty of ceramics and sculpture, accompanied by painting and drawing.

My name is Nadia Reguła, I am a sixteen-year-old with a head packed with dreams and a heart full of hope that I can make them come true. I am a singer, songwriter, composer, producer and pianist. I have been awarded multiple times for my vocals and my compositions in national and international contests, such as Yamaha European Highlight Concert in Milano (2023). I released my first official single 'moon face' in fall 2023 as an independent artist and am working on more music. For over ten years, I have been attending Szkoła Muzyczna Yamaha w Pabianicach (Poland), under the wings of Gabriela Reguła and Marta Gabryelczak-Paprocka. I am also during my first year of IB Diploma Programme.

I am a student of the 2nd grade of high school , who owes all his achievements because of attending to the music club in elementary school. In my panel, I would like to tell you how it led me to my current role as a Representative for Organization of Cooperation and Projects at the High School of University of Łodź and as a representative of the PROMUZA foundation. I am an alumni of the first stage of music school, and I study the sound engineering. I often organize events or participate in them, just like in this one. I am interested in economics and the stock exchange. I take every opportunity that life gives me, because I never know where it will take me, and that's what I love.

Stanisław Pąśko

Keen activist and leader; a 16-year-old XXI L.O. student specialising in humanities and maths. His areas of interest are law, history, geopolitics and economics. He is currently conducting his research in the field of civic participation from the legal perspective on University of Łódź Law School. Stanisław is also a sailor and fencer, debator, former Student Council's President and Youth City Councillor. He believes in using science and knowledge for the public good, which he tries to achieve through his voluntary activity.

Entrepreneur, student, author of many dreams. Of some daily but as well of many that can be turned into a real action plan. Currently, I am exploring the secrets of law at the University of Warsaw, developing my advertising agency and providing consulting services to companies from the SME sector. In high school, I became a winner of the Entrepreneurship Olympiad, the Tax Knowledge Competition and several minor initiatives. At the moment, I also support the UW Tax Law Academic Circle, working for the board of this organisation.

Polish opera singer who achieved an international career as a bass-baritone, film actor and occasional director. With his sensational success as ALBERICH at the Vienna State Opera 2008/09 and now also as JOCHANAAN, WOTAN/WANDERER and TELRAMUND Tomasz Konieczny has established himself at the forefront of outstanding dramatic Bass-Baritones of his generation. He has performed in some of the world’s most prestigious venues, including the Bayreuth Festival, where the role of Wotan in Wagner’s Siegfried brought him rave reviews.
