Theme: Way to Wisdom!

What should I do from now on? Does it benefit society? What if I regret this choice forever? Youth who just graduate high school have to face this question to itself. They are indecisive because they don't know what to do. This ted x talk event would like to impart wisdom to the students at university who will grow up and become a part of our society.

Chansocheata Poum

Founder and CEO at Snoopedu Education

ChanSocheata Poum, Founder and CEO at Snoopedu Education, a university lecturer, and a consultant. Socheata is an engineering graduate with a passion for solving systemic problems through education. This led Socheata to start her education venture, Snoopedu, with a mission to develop skills in computing among students as early as the primary level and make it accessible to all. Socheata believes that teachers are the key drivers to building the education system of the future. Since 2020, Snoopedu has brought over 2,000 students to start their journey in computing and trained over 60 educators to equip them. Her goal of making a difference every day in the education field has enabled her to get nominated on the global platform. Socheata was honored with the “Outstanding Leadership Award” for extraordinary achievements in the field of education at the Winter Edition of the Education 2.0 Conference, held at the InterContinental, Dubai Festival City, UAE between December 16–18, 2022.

Jason Chumtong

Country Director Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) Cambodia

Since June 2023, Mr. Jason Chumtong has served as the Country Director of KAS Cambodia, based in Phnom Penh. Prior to this role, he worked as a Policy Advisor for Artificial Intelligence and also oversaw the KAS Fellowship program. Mr. Chumtong's earlier position with the Foundation was at the KAS office in Riga, where he was part of the Regional Programme for Nordic Countries. He earned his bachelor's degree in politics and sociology from Friedrich-Wilhelms-University in Bonn. Following a stint abroad in a Buddhist monastery in Thailand, he completed his Master of Science at the University of Edinburgh. His final thesis for the course "Science and Technology in Society" focused on the use of artificial intelligence in autonomous driving, for which he was awarded the David Edge Prize.

Menghorng Kao

Co-founder of STEMUNITY & Ladies in Tech

Ms. Menghorng is currently a newly highschool graduate in 2023, however, she has had a very exceptional amount of experience in various fields. Especially, in the field of Business & Tech, where she has the outstanding achievement of being the co-founder of Ladies in Tech & STEMUNITY and other achievements as well such as the champion in Technovation Girls Cambodia, and the champion in KE Highschool Award, DPA, BDS, BMC (Business Model Competition), in addition to this, she is also Tech Girls Alumni (US Exchange Program) and a trainer in Code For Girls Club. Aside from this, she also has other extraordinary accomplishments including being the distinguished speakers in 20+ programs, being the champion of VMC (Volunteer for my community), participating in Skills4 Girls Program in Sweden, participating in Youth Leader Camp in Indonesia, participating as a panellist in the ASEAN Regional Dialogue in ASEAN Secretariat, Indonesia, last but not least is the 2022 Generation Future Mentee.

Ms. Ly Rachana is an undergraduate student, pursuing a dual degree in Accounting and Finance at CamEd Business School and International Studies at IISPP. Currently, she is a research intern at the Center for Southeast Asian Studies. She is also a local coordinator at Students for Liberty.

An environmental content creator in Cambodia, also known as, a “zero waste girl”. She is working on raising awareness on sustainable consumption and climate action through her social media channel Zerow.

Thomith Chin

Cambodian-American Optimist & Entrepreneur

Chief Executive Officer & Founder of iDEN Agency, an unconventional communication and creative advertising company based in Cambodia. Founder & President, International Youth for a Better World, a tax-exempt charitable organization in the United States. And Author of The Power & Freedom of Hope. Thomith Chin graduated with the highest honor and an associate degree in Business from the Community College of Rhode Island. He was the one and only Cambodian immigrant and student who received the most distinguished Scholar-Athlete award from the Rhode Island House of Representatives and House Speaker, the Honorable Nicholas A. Mattiello. he worked with senior analysts to create a set of public policy proposals concerning education and commerce. He also served as a special assistant to the Rhode Island Governor’s Business Advisory Board during the Chinese American trade war escalation, and as a constituent outreach for U.S. Senator Sheldon Whitehouse of the state of Rhode Island.
