The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Recognized for his expertise in educational technology, Fred serves as a Google for Education Trainer and holds the title of Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert. Beyond the realms of education and technology, Fred is a FIDE and Chess Kenya Federation Developmental Instructor, showcasing his diverse talents and interests. Patrick Meier

Dr. Patrick Meier is a social impact founder and translational leader working at the intersection of emerging tech and social innovation. He is deeply committed to climate action, social justice, and systems change. Patrick is the Founder and Executive Director of the Climate Robotics Network. He previously served as Robotics Lead on Strategy at the Swiss Institute of Technology and Innovation Booster Robotics. He also co-founded and served as Executive Director of WeRobotics, an international tech nonprofit with Flying Labs in 40+ countries. Patrick is a National Geographic Explorer and Climatebase Fellow. He has also held fellowships at MIT, Stanford, and Harvard. More importantly, Patrick was born and raised in Africa.
