David Lallemant

Navigator of uncertainties

Dr. David Lallemant is an Assistant Professor and heads the Disaster Analytics for Society Lab (DASL) at the Asian School of the Environment, Nanyang Technological University and the Earth Observatory of Singapore. His research focuses on developing analytical tools to quantify climate and multi-hazard risks, and promote resilient communities. Prior to joining NTU, David was a research engineer at Stanford University, where he also co-founded the Stanford Urban Resilience Initiative. David holds a PhD from Stanford University, MSc from UC Berkeley and BSc from MIT. He is recipient of the National Research Foundation Fellowship, the Nanyang Award for Humanitarian Work, the Data Innovation for Sustainable Development Award, and others. He is also co-founder of the Averted Disaster Award, and a climate impact startup (Ventrx).

Kamil Haque

Chief Moment Officer

Kamil Haque is the founder and Artistic Director of Haque Centre of Acting & Creativity (HCAC), Singapore’s first professional acting studio for everyone. He is the creator of the Haque Method and the only coach in Asia experienced in teaching the Lee Strasberg method of acting. A Singaporean of multi-ethnic origin, Kamil has produced, directed and acted in several award-winning and critically-acclaimed productions in Singapore, in USA, Malaysia and Australia. Kamil is also an award-winning actor and storyteller and his work has been published and performed around the world. To date, Kamil has coached well over 10,000 clients, many of whom have appeared in major Hollywood films, stage productions, television shows and commercials. His corporate client list also includes coaching and training leaders and executives of Fortune 500 companies and statutory boards including Temasek Holdings, OCBC, ByteDance, Salesforce and many others.

Michelle Low

Aviation Safety Guardian

Michelle Low is an aviation safety and regulatory affairs expert. She holds a Masters of Philosophy in Technology Policy from the University of Cambridge and a Bachelors of Engineering in Aeronautical Engineering from Imperial College London. In addition to her role as a Senior Regulatory Affairs Engineer at The Boeing Company, Michelle is a Ph.D. candidate specializing in aviation safety at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. Michelle is actively involved with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), contributing as a technical advisor to the ICAO Safety Management Panel and the industry co-chair of the Asia Pacific Regional Aviation Safety Plan Working Group. Her work experience spans across Asia and Europe, where she was seconded as an expert on safety data analysis to the European Union Aviation Safety Agency.

Paul Victor Patinadan

Purveyor of Nourishing Interventions

Dr Paul Victor Patinadan is an Assistant Professor with the Psychology Programme at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore with close to a decade of experience in health research. As an interdisciplinary mixed-methods researcher, he specializes in Thanatology-focused psychosocial interventions and therapies, the implementation science of such interventions, and holistic education across stakeholders within care ecosystems. He has worked on multiple projects with a focus on clinical outcomes for various illness trajectories, community and critical health psychology, wellbeing through grief and bereavement, and evaluative research for health organizations. Paul has won several local and international accolades for his academic contributions.

Tammie Ong

Fearless Fighter

Tammie Ong, a 19-year-old student at Singapore Polytechnic, is a source of inspiration and strength despite facing multiple rare and chronic illnesses. Through her candid and heartfelt social media posts, she shares her personal journey, highlighting both the triumphs and challenges, aiming to encourage others to embrace life and cherish the little joys. Tammie's dedication to raising awareness for her conditions led her to create three successful fundraisers, raising an impressive $23k for various nonprofit organizations. Her ultimate mission is to promote acceptance and empowerment for individuals with medical devices, emphasizing that illnesses do not define us; rather, we possess boundless potential to make a positive impact on the world, equal to or even exceeding that of others without health challenges.

Yen Lin Kong

Creative Life Integrator

Kong Yen Lin works in the visual arts sector of Singapore, playing diverse of roles from educator, programme manager, curator to policymaker. During her time with the National Arts Council Singapore’s Public Art Trust, she led commissioning projects for public art for milestone events like the Singapore Bicentennial (2019), and spearheaded ‘Rewritten: The World Ahead of Us’ (2020), the council’s largest display of public artworks, featuring 14 artists. Aside from her professional practice, Yen Lin is an avid photography researcher, focusing on Singapore’s modern photography history from the 1950s to 80s. She earned her Masters in Asian Art Histories from Lasalle College of the Arts in 2016, and was the recipient of the 2022 National Museum Singapore Research Fellowship.
