Ayoola Apolola
Apolola is a climate scientist with expertise in flood risk modelling. He is currently researching the global impact of climate change on extreme sea levels. He contributed to designing Regional and New town plans in Akure, Nigeria. His most recent study modelled flood risk for Lagos, Nigeria, from climate-induced extreme precipitation.
Chris Slootweg
He is a co-founder and scientific advisor of SusPhos BV, a pioneering company focused on the upcycling of phosphate rich waste streams to generate high quality alternatives to replace current fossil-sourced products. Slootweg introduced the term “circular chemistry” in Nature Chemistry and instructs students on the convergence of essential physical (in)organic chemistry and sophisticated main-group chemistry.
