Dr. Essam Seddik is the esteemed Head of the Mechatronics Engineering Department at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology & Maritime Transport in Egypt. He holds a PhD in Applied Artificial Intelligence from McMaster University in Canada, where he also gained valuable industry experience. Dr. Seddik worked as a Big Data Scientist and Machine Learning Engineer in Canada, specifically applying his skills in connected vehicles technology. With his background in both academia and industry, he brings a well-rounded expertise to his role at AASTMT. Under Dr. Seddik's leadership, the Mechatronics Engineering Department is flourishing in its education of students in advanced automation fields.

Omar Fikry

Astrophysicist

Dr. Omar Fikry is a leading expert in astrophysics with a specialization in solar physics. He holds a BSc in astronomy from Cairo University earned in 1987, followed by an MSc in the same field from the same institution in 1992. Dr. Fikry then pursued his PhD studies at Alexandria University, obtaining a doctorate degree in physics in 2006. Currently, he serves as the head of the planetarium theater at the prestigious Bibliotheca Alexandrina library. Additionally, Dr. Fikry is an active member of several influential astronomy organizations. He also currently serves as vice president of the Egyptian Society for Astronomy, demonstrating his prominence in the field.

Dr. Omar Osama is a rising star in the field of dentistry. After obtaining his Bachelor's Degree in Dentistry from Future University in Egypt, he has gained diverse clinical experience working in several private practices across Cairo. Apart from his skill in various dental procedures, Dr. Osama is also passionate about using humor and education to make dentistry less nerve-wracking for patients. He is well-known for creating funny and informative skits on Tiktok and Instagram, accruing thousands of subscribers. Through his viral dental comedy videos, Dr. Osama explains complex topics in a fun, simple way. He aims to ease patients' anxiety and make the experience of visiting the dentist more enjoyable through laughter.

PIMA Band

PIMA an up-and-coming all-female acoustic guitar band from Alexandria. The name PIMA represents the fingers used to fret the guitar strings - the Pinky, Index, Middle, and Anchor (thumb). The four members came up with this name as a tribute to the key role their fingers play in creating their unique instrumental sound. They have been playing guitar and songwriting together for years. PIMA loves the raw, emotionally resonant qualities that can be achieved through acoustic instrumentation alone. Listeners can expect to hear lush layering of acoustic guitars, rich harmonies and melodies woven together to tell stories without words.
