In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Alexander Tucker

Alex Tucker is a 15 year old history student currently studying for his GCSEs. For the past few years he has been fascinated with Irish history and culture. Growing up in a Catholic family, the stories resonated with him. Alex is also a keen musician, playing the guitar, bass, and piano.

Callum Harwood

Callum is a passionate advocate for justice, diversity and inclusion amongst young people. Now seventeen, he is an essay competition finalist, former Youth Parliament campaigner and has spoken at the Great Oracy Exhibition. He has also contributed to his school’s equality council throughout his A-level studies.

Grace Jackman

Grace, aged 17, is passionate about the power of Youth Voice and its ability to dynamically shape and equalise our world. She enjoys engaging with young people from different walks of life through her valuable experience with the British Youth Council and her campaigns on mental health and equality

Josie Rossiter

Josie Rossiter is a 16 year old student at The Gryphon School. She is passionate about the arts and creativity becoming more valued within educational contexts. Josie also has a keen interest in biology and loves cats, and is planning on becoming a vet when she’s older.

Leo Oxford

Leo Oxford is a 17 year old entrepreneur with a strong interest in aviation, business and modern investing. He is currently training to become one of the youngest people to run the London Marathon and has an interest in cryptocurrency and its uses in modern society.

Neha Sharma

Neha is a 17 year old student completing her A-Levels at The King’s School, Chester. She is fascinated by the relationship between the brain and the body, and her passion for music as a piano player has led her to develop a specific interest - how is our brain structure impacted by our repeated actions and thoughts?

Noah Davidson

Noah Davidson is a 15-year-old student at Sturminster Newton High School who recently qualified as a Young Health Champion by the RSPH. He is interested in geopolitics, economics, and how the two are intertwined; he is a member of the school council and also volunteers as a student librarian.

Rowan Hann

Rowan Hann is a 14 year old with ‘a creative and happy outlook on life’ and she believes strongly in feminism and equality. A Head Prefect in Year 9 at Shaftesbury School, she has a particular passion for art and in 2023 exhibited a mixed media image at Shaftesbury Arts Centre Gallery.

Ryan Nzolameso

Ryan is 18 and not only a student at St Brendan’s Sixth Form College, Bristol, but a passionate advocate for mental health awareness, particularly focusing on the challenges within the black community. His dedication stems from a deep understanding of the importance of addressing mental health struggles. Ryan’s commitment extends beyond advocacy; he channels his thoughts and ideas through various mediums, including acting and performances at church events. Through his creative endeavours, Ryan aims to foster understanding and support for mental wellness while emphasising its significance within the black community.

Schäfer Kleinert

Schäfer Kleinert is a dedicated international student who enjoys learning about practical, useful subjects, like diplomacy, rhetoric, and nuclear terrorism. He loves reading about international relations and trying to figure out or help others figure out solutions to the world’s most pressing problems.

Toby Bowers

Toby Bowers is a 16-year-old student at The Gryphon School, who has always had a passion for science and a love of entomology. Having kept pet bugs like praying mantises and a millipede, Toby understands the importance of the natural world and advocates for protecting biodiversity and preventing climate change.

Tom Massey

A 14 year old student at The Gryphon School, Sherborne, Tom enjoys beekeeping, fishing, and learning sign language to communicate with his cousin who is deaf. The experience has led Tom to becoming a strong believer that learning sign language should be part of every school curriculum.

Yahya Payne

Yahya is a 17 year old student in Year 12 at The Gryphon Sixth Form. He is passionate about helping to inspire a future in which the world is void of war and its devastating impacts. He is also interested in music, and aspires to become a producer.
