Abigail Bergen
Dr. Abigail Bergen is a learner, educator and advocate. She joined Southern New Hampshire University in 2022 as assistant professor of General Special Education. She received her Doctorate in Leadership and Learning from Rivier University, where her dissertation focused on special education students developing self-efficacy.
Anthony Knopps
Anthony Knopps is a storyteller, connector and thought leader. He joined Southern New Hampshire University as an adjunct professor in the Graduate School of Communications in October of 2013. In 2021, he was a finalist for Distinguished Professor of the Year. His work in the classroom came after a three-decade long career as a broadcast journalist where he was privileged to be on the "front row of history" covering such world figures as Pope John Paul II, Russian leader Vladimir Putin and a number of US presidents.
Activist + author + speaker
Dani Chase is an activist, author and speaker. They work as an admission counselor at Southern New Hampshire University, where they also created and lead a trans and nonbinary inclusion training to help advance organizational system change for LGBTQ+ students and staff. They are the author of “The Trans Ally Workbook.”
David Humphreys
David Humphreys is a music-lover, traveler, and foodie. He is an associate professor of Communication and Director of the Center for Teaching and Learning at Southern New Hampshire University. He received his MFA in Visual Media Art from Emerson College and BA in Journalism and Communication from UMass Amherst.
George Siemens
George Siemens researches how human and artificial cognition intersect in knowledge processes. He is co-founder, Chief Scientist and Architect of Human Systems, Inc. – an organization building resources to respond to the systemic impact of AI on learning and wellness.
He is the founding Director and Professor of the Center for Change and Complexity in Learning (C3L) at University of South Australia and developed the Master of Science in Learning Analytics at University of Texas at Arlington. He has delivered keynote addresses in more than 40 countries on the influence of technology and media on education, organizations, and society. His work has been profiled in provincial, national, and international newspapers (including NY Times), radio, and television. He has served as PI or Co-PI on grants funded by NSF, SSHRC (Canada), OLT (Australia), Intel, Boeing, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and the Soros Foundation. He has received numerous awards, including honorary doctorates from Universidad de San Martín de Porres and Fraser Valley University for his pioneering work in learning, technology, and networks. He holds an honorary professorship with University of Edinburgh. Dr. Siemens is a founding President of the Society for Learning Analytics Research (http://www.solaresearch.org/). He has advised government agencies Australia, European Union, Canada and United States, as well as numerous international universities, on digital learning and utilizing learning analytics for assessing and evaluating productivity gains in the education sector and improving learner results. In 2008, he pioneered massive open online courses (sometimes referred to as MOOCs). He is founding President of the Global Research Alliance for AI in Learning and Education (GRAILE – www.graile.ai)
Jackie Marcoux
Jackie Marcoux is deaf, an advocate, and a creative. She works in learning and development as a knowledge management consultant at Southern New Hampshire University. Jackie graduated from the University of Hartford with her bachelor’s degree in Elementary/Special Education and from the University of Massachusetts Lowell with her master’s degree in Community Social Psychology.
James Winfield
Dr. James Winfield is a first-generation student, advocate, and lifelong learner. He serves as the associate dean for first-year experience, general education, and retention strategies at Southern New Hampshire University. His dissertation and research interests are focused on the career self-efficacy and academic major decisions of low-income, first-generation college students.
Karen Fisher
Dr. Karen Fisher is a connector, an advocate, and a fixer. She is the Director of Change Leadership and Organizational Culture at Southern New Hampshire University. She earned her doctorate degree in Organizational Development at George Washington University.
Kendra Thomas
Dr. Kendra Thomas, is a joy practitioner, mom, and Gloria’s daughter. A military veteran and higher education expert, she has worked at Southern New Hampshire University for over a decade, where she leads initiatives focused on employee networks, retention, and engagement.
Rachel Teague
Dr. Rachel Teague is a systems convener and creative who deeply values family. She works as a senior knowledge management and training specialist and adjunct faculty at Southern New Hampshire University. She earned her Doctorate in Global Training & Development with a dedicated emphasis on Knowledge Management from Northcentral University in 2022. Her educational journey also includes a master's degree in Management & Leadership, as well as a bachelor's degree in Educational Studies, both earned from Western Governors University.
