In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Carlotta is an expert in international partnerships in the technology sector. After starting her career in Silicon Valley, Carlotta then entered the international corporate technology scene in London working for companies such as Oracle and Shopify. Born in Palermo, he began studying piano at 13, 5 years after discovering his profound hearing loss. Graduated with full marks and honours, he attracted media attention following his numerous appearances in the world of television and information (Le Iene, TG1, Rai 1, Tg2 Storie, Rai 3, Il Fatto quotidiano, La Repubblica, Rai Parlamento di Rai 2, TV2000, RSI and fanpage.it). He improved his skills in Switzerland with Anna Kravtchenko, obtaining two Masters. He has played in prestigious theatres such as: Engelman Hall in New York, Large Hall of the Yoyogi Olympic center in Tokyo, Warsaw National Philharmonic Hall, Sinfonia Varsovia Hall in Warsaw, Theater und Medien in Hannover, Haus der Musik in Innsbruck, Politeama Theater in Palermo and many others. He is currently a piano teacher at the Palermo Conservatory. To date, Davide is considered the only professional pianist with hearing problems in the world.

She is the founder and president of Le Vie dei Tesori Foundation: a project dedicated to the narration and discovery of the Sicilian heritage. She is director of Gattopardo (the magazine of the Giornale di Sicilia and Gazzetta del Sud), and collaborator of La Stampa. She was awarded the Igor Man Prize four times; she received the Carlo Casalegno Prize and the special Plaque of the Cutuli Prize.

Paolo Briguglia

Paolo Briguglia, born in 1974, is from Palermo and graduated from the National Academy of Dramatic Arts in Rome. He has acted in various prestigious shows and films, directed by renowned directors, in cinema, theatre and TV. Among the films in which he acted we remember ‘I cento passi’ by Marco Tullio Giordana (2000); ‘El Alamein – La Linea del Fuoco’ by Enzo Monteleone (2002); ‘Paz!’ by Renato De Maria (2002); ‘Buongiorno, notte’ by Marco Bellocchio (2003); ‘Ma quando arrivano le ragazze?’ by Pupi Avati (2005); ‘La terra’ by Sergio Rubini (2006), ‘Basilicata coast to coast’ (2010) directed by Rocco Papaleo. In 2023 he played the role of Ignazio Florio in the Disney+ series ‘I Leoni di Sicilia’.

Roberto Lipari

Comedian

He debuted in cabaret in Palermo in the “Sale e Pepe” duo, with Antonio Pepati. Having gone viral with some videos on the web, he was selected in 2016 for the show Eccezionale Veramente, a contest for young comedians, which he won. In the same year, he joined the cast of Colorado, for two consecutive seasons. In 2017 he took part in the second edition of Eccezionale Veramente as a regular guest and co-host, and made his debut both at the cinema, with a small role in the film Classe Z, and at the theatre, with a successful stand-up comedy show, Battipanni Lipari tutto! In 2019 he was the protagonist of the film TuttAPPosto! and, in November he became a correspondent for Striscia la Notizia. In 2021 he debuted as host of the same program paired with Sergio Friscia, a couple that is also confirmed in the 2022 and 2023 editions. On 25 July 2023, Roberto Lipari's first film as director, So Tutto di te, was published on Prime Video, with Lipari, Sergio Friscia and Leo Gullotta, among others.

Born in Trapani, but she lives in Palermo, where she works as a special-needs teacher.
