Theme: Container of Time

This TEDx Nantou Street, with the theme of "The Container of Time", invites friends from different fields to open up multiple discussions on "change", "update", "design", "creativity", "art", and "humanities" from various perspectives such as art, photography, and media. They use different perspectives to look at life imagination in the container of time, rather than past answers.

Since the 7th UABB, Zhang Chao has been documenting the development and changes in Nantou. As a former architect, he has always insisted on local photography, not only capturing completed architectural works, but also documenting the process of project construction. For him, accompanying and documenting the growth and changes of architecture is as meaningful as taking photos of his family.

She held a solo exhibition "Blessings" at the Aohu Art Museum in Shenzhen in 2015, planned and participated in the Shenzhen 33 Space Exhibition "World" in 2016, planned and participated in the Manufacturing Cultural Space Exhibition "Now" in 2018, planned and participated in the Meicheng Space "I'm Here" in 2019, and "Resistance to Forgetting" at the Artron Art Museum in 2020. She has rich experience in creating and curating her works. The fate with Nantou began when she participated as an artist in the Nantou City sub exhibition of the 9th UABB. In a painting named "Wilderness", a bed appears like an extraterrestrial visitor on a deserted plateau. The memory of a bedroom that once belonged to someone is exposed to the vast sky and earth, and the wilderness and city are directly connected. Just like the location of the work, the wild urban village faces the modern metropolis.

As a member of the Nantou City operation team, she is mainly responsible for brand building and strategic direction. The curatorial team she leads has long conducted urban research using urban villages as samples. In 2024, the "FOLKS IN NANTOU：A Mosaic of Livelihoods" will be launched with great emphasis on its solid research results and pioneering experimental curatorial approach, focusing on the "Nantou Workers". Through an exhibition, it will open a dialogue with people from all walks of life, not only as an exhibition, but also as the starting point for a series of actions and stories.

Rita Chow, rooted in the architecture and design industry for more than a decade, has transitioned from a design media background to a design company brand operation, and even founded the first domestic brand promotion agency and award platform dedicated to serving architects and designers. Rita is entrepreneurial experience can be seen as a microcosm of the path of Chinese design brand advancement.
