Coco (Huiying) Lu
Ms
Coco is a senior at BJ80 who is engaged in the interdisciplinary
study of arts, humanities, and politics. Apart from academics,
she spends most of her extracurricular time between her funk/jazz band, dance team, and teaching.
James (Zimo) Zhang
Mr.
James is a senior student studying at BJ80. He enjoys a wide
range of music and sports like basketball and soccer.
He is very vocal and never hesitates to share ideas, which helps him build on his confidence and public speaking skills. He is excited to talk about being "Free to be sad" and hopes that his presentation with Marsha is both inspiring and fun.
Jennifer Holstein

Jennifer is a BJ80 International Department alumna. She has spent her life building communities and has dedicated her life to searching for the secret to creating joy and happiness for others. In this talk, Jennifer shares her secret recipe for choosing your life, living within possibility and positivity, and turning away from societal/familial expectations. Jennifer came from where you are and needs you to know that the possibilities for your life are endless.
Joanna Guo
Ms
Joanna is an 11th grader in the IB Diploma Programme and
is naturally curious about the world around her. With a
passion for observing and learning, Joanna has pursued
various interests, from sports to art to literature. Now, she's
taking on a new challenge - speaking at TEDx for the first
time. She will surely captivate the audience with her intelligence, charisma, and talent for public speaking.
Laura (Rouchen) Liu
Ms.
Laura is a current grade 12 student. She is always looking for new ideas, she enjoys art, reading, and debating. She never
hesitates to speak up and actively participates in
discussions. Usually, you’ll find her engaged in various
activities ranging from choir events to charity fundraisers.
She does a little bit of everything!
Marsha (Xinyu) Wang
Ms.
Marsha is a current grade 12 student at BJ80. She has
participated in debates for over five years, most recently as
the president and/or judge. Marsha is also involved in speech
competitions and charity programs. She is a creative artist
and a critical thinker and always has "eureka" moments in
daily life. Marsha is excited to be presenting her first TEDx speech alongside James this year.
