昨年に続き 淡路島にて第3回目のTEDxAwaji開催します。今年のテーマは【勢い：湧き上がる衝動】。

TEDxAwaji は、淡路島に住むメンバーによって設立されました。地域の人々が世界に 向けて発信できるプラットフォームを提供することと淡路島に新しいアイデアをもた らすことを目的としています。

過去2年間、「波紋を広げる雫に：小さな選択の影響力」（2021年）と「生きがい：私たちはどこへ向かうのか」（2022年）をテーマにTEDxAwajiを年に1回連続して開催してきました。イベントの詳細については、下記のWebサイトよりご確認いただけますと幸いです。

来年2024年1月には第3弾として『勢い：内なる衝動』をテーマにしたTEDxAwajiを開催することとなりました。

今年は『勢い：内なる衝動』というテーマを掲げ、
①私たちを常に前へと前進させる信じられないほどの大きな「エネルギー」
②行動を促す「内なる衝動」
③自分の人生の旅における「勢いの力」
を探求することに焦点を当てています。

We are pleased to announce the third edition of TEDxAwaji – Momentum: The Drive Within

TEDxAwaji was founded by the residents of Awaji to give locals a voice and platform to the world and to bring new ideas to the community of Awaji Island.

For the past two years, we have been consecutively hosting TEDxAwaji under the themes of "Be the Ripple: The influence of small choices" (2021) and "Ikigai: Where are we going?" (2022). You can see more about these events and check the speakers' talks on our website: https://www.tedxawaji.com/

Next January 2024, we will be back under the theme of “Momentum: The Drive Within”. Our speakers will focus on exploring the incredible force that moves us forward, the inner drive that fuels our actions, and the power of momentum in our journeys. In other words, the driving forces behind our persistence and resilience. Be ready to get inspired!

Details of the event:
- Date and time: January 28th (Sunday) from 11:00 to 16:30 (doors open at 10:45)
- Language: English session and Japanese session (4 speakers each; subtitles will be provided)
- Limited number of tickets: 100 tickets

Atsuko Takayama

Atsuko was born in Kyoto in 1945. Atsuko graduated from the Department of English and Literature at Kyoto Notre Dame University and is currently the president of ITC-J (International Training in Communication Japan), and she is a member of the Ashiya and Ibaraki Toastmasters. Atsuko also won the Cosmopolitan Speech Contest at the ITC Seattle Convention. 1945年京都市出身。京都ノートルダム女子大学英語英文科卒業し、現在はITC-J (International Training in Communication Japan) 会⾧で、芦屋と茨木トーストマスターズに所属。ITCのシアトル 大会でのコスモポリタンスピーチコンテストで優勝。

Erina Imai

Erina has been active in several communities to bring concrete solutions to climate change. Prioritizing energy transition as a key issue, she has been involved in policy advocacy, organizing climate strikes and marches, and participating in legal actions to shut down coal-fired power plants. Currently, she is leading an initiative to increase renewable energy sources in her local community, drawing on her experience working for a renewable energy company. In her free time, she enjoys going to the garden on weekends and after work, sometimes sharing fresh seasonal produce with friends. いくつかのコミュニティで気候変動に具体的な対策をもたらすための活動をしています。エネルギーシフトを重 要課題と位置づけ、これまで政策提言活動や気候ストライキ・マーチの運営、火力発電所の差止を求める 訴訟運動に関わってきました。現在は再エネ事業会社での勤務の経験も活かしながら、自分たちの力で住 んでいる街の再生可能エネルギーを増やす取り組みを進めています。また、趣味は週末や仕事終わりに畑に 足を運ぶことで、友人に旬の野菜をおすそ分けすることに喜びを感じます。

Janina Tubby

Janina is a teacher. During her thirty plus years here in Kobe she has taught at an English conversation school in a corporate setting, an elementary and junior high school, in a preschool and daycare, and at a university. In 2005, with just ¥200,000, she opened a small English classroom to supplement her university work. Eighteen years later this classroom is now (Kobe Bilingual School,*) a thriving bilingual international elementary school, kindergarten and licensed daycare, supported by a happy motivated team of teachers and staff who teach resilience and a love of learning to a diverse group of talented and creative children. Janina is also the proud mother of two resilient and talented grown-up bilingual children. ジャニーナは教師であり、ここ神戸で30 年以上、英会話学校、企業、小中学校、幼稚園、保育園、大学 で教えてきました。 2005 年、わずか20 万円の資金で、大学での仕事を補うための小さな英語教室を開きました。その18 年 後、この小さな教室は、現在の（神戸バイリンガルスクールとなり、*）バイリンガルのインターナショナルエレメ ンタリースクール、キンダーガーテン、認可保育園として成⾧を遂げ、意欲的でハッピーな教職員に支えられ、 才能と創造性にあふれた多様な子どもたちに、レジリエンスと学ぶことの素晴らしさを教えています。 また、ジャニーナは、レジリエンス力がありバイリンガルに成⾧した2 人の才能豊かな子供たちの母親であること を誇りに思っています。

Kirill Fire (Awaji Art Circus)

Awaji Art Circus (AAC) is an international performing arts organization, which has held festival events annually since 2015 on Awaji Island. Each year, we gather talented performers in a broad range of genres from around the world to perform in our own originally written shows, which focus on themes related to Awaji Island. From Awaji Art Circus, Kirill Fire is a basketball spinner who performs a combination of ball tricks and dance using freestyle basketball. 「Awaji Art Circus」 は淡路島を舞台に2015年から毎年開催されている、地域活性化や文化発展を目指す国際パフォーミングアーツフェスティバルです。 あわじアートサーカスの代表パフォーマーは2019年と2023年の参加アーティスト、フリースタイルバスケットボールのKirill Fireです！

Kotan Taiko

Kotan is a Japanese Taiko Drum group, that was created as a regional revitalization project on Awaji Island. 「鼓淡」は淡路島を拠点に活動する若者で構成された太鼓集団。 地方創生、文化創造の理念のもと、日々練習に励んでいます。

Kumiko Otoshi

Kumiko was born in Awaji City. She graduated from the Department of Japanese Music, Faculty of Music, Tokyo University of the Arts. The 1300th anniversary of the compilation of the Kojiki in 2012 and the 1300th anniversary of the compilation of the Nihon Shoki in 2020. She plans and produces mythological reading pieces for each 25-stringed koto. In addition to performing, she also focuses on popularizing mythology and history. She received the Hyogo female future Hanada Award. Being involved in traditional culture is like knowing and continuing to receive the blessings of our many ancestors. Love, courage, hope, confidence, pride. With the hope that people can find that kind of light in Japanese culture, she continues to spread the word through performances, lectures, and new works. 淡路市出身。東京藝術大学音楽学部邦楽科卒業。 2012 年の古事記編纂1300 年と、2020 年の 日本書記編纂1300 年にそれぞれ25 絃箏による神話の朗読作品を企画制作。演奏以外に神話と歴史 の普及にも力を入れている。ひょうご女性未来・縹（はなだ）賞受賞。 伝統文化に携わる事は、数多の先人の恩恵を知り、受け続けているようなものだ。愛、勇気、希望、自信、 誇りー。日本文化の中に、そんな光りを見つけてもらえたら、との想いで演奏や講演、新作による普及活動を 続けている。

Mark Reid

Mark Reid is host of the Zen Sammich podcast and a maker of traditional handmade Japanese paper, called washi, in Yamaguchi, Japan. His B.A. is from the University of Alabama in political science, holds an M.A. from Florida State University in philosophy and ethics, and a J.D. from Syracuse University College of Law. He began his legal career as an Assistant District Attorney in New York, later working for a large firm specializing in Securities Law in Birmingham, Alabama. He was a professor of English at three universities in Japan and a graduate teaching assistant at Florida State University. His diversified background has taken him all over the world, including residential stints in Greece, England, and South Korea. Most recently, he was a contributing author to the bestselling book, “Win the Wellness W.A.R." マーク・リードはポッドキャスト”Zen Sammich”のホストであり、山口県で和紙作りにも取り組んでいます。 アラバマ大学で政治学の学士号を取り、フロリダ州立大学で哲学と倫理学で修士号を修め、さらにシラキュー ス法科大学院で法学博士となりました。 その後、ニューヨーク州の地方検事補としてキャリアをスタート。後に、アラバマ州のバーミンガムにある、証券法 に特化した大手弁護士事務所に勤めました。 フロリダ州立大学時代には教授の助手もしていました。日本では英語教授として三つの大学で教えたことが あります。 多様な経験は海外にも広がり、ギリシャ、イギリス、韓国で暮らしたことがあります。 ベストセラー“Win the Wellness W.A.R."の執筆協力者でもあります。

Michele Bezzi

Michele Bezzi was born and raised in Bergamo, a beautiful town in the Italian Alps. Michele loves connecting with people from all over the world, learning about the local culture, and sharing his knowledge to everyone. He has visited 45 countries and speaks 6 languages. Michele also expressed the following: "I am on the way to make my passion also my job, that is why I work as a freelancer tour coordinator and when I’m back home in Italy I drive an electric tuk tuk to show the beauty of my city." 私の名前はミケレ・ベッツィです。イタリアのアルプスの美しい町、ベルガモで生まれ育ちました。 私は世界中の人々とつながり、地元の文化について学び、自分の知識をみんなと共有することが大好きです。 これまでに約45 カ国を訪問し、6 か国語を話せます。 私は自分の情熱を仕事にしようとしている最中です。そのため、私はフリーランサーのツアーコーディネーターとし て働き、イタリアの故郷に帰ったときは電動トゥクトゥクを運転して自分の街の美しさを伝えています。

Yuiki Matsushita

Yuiki has a life mission - "Enable all people who have challenges in daily life to like themselves or their community" based on her own experience suffering and recovering from an eating disorder for almost 8 years. She started her career as HR at P&G with this life mission and has been responsible for developing organization strategy and execution in multiple organizations. On top of that, she continuously works on activation of neurodiversity which is correlated with eating disorders. However, she felt "This is not enough - I need to work on my true-life mission and try something which is directly contributing to support eating disorder recovery". With this passion, she was determined to develop General Incorporated Association Allyable, a non-profit organization with 150+ hearings from stakeholders and 7 times pivot. Now she is focusing on P&G HR work and work as Allyable CEO in parallel careers to achieve her life mission. ８年にわたる自身の摂食障害闘病経験や大学院での日本語教師としての経験から、「生きづらさを感じる 全ての人が、自分や自分の所属コミュニティを好きになれる仕組みやきっかけを作れる人になりたい」というライ フミッションを掲げ、新卒から人事のキャリアを志す。2017 年4 月からP&G 人事部に配属され、幅広い組 織の人事戦略立案と実行を担当する他、摂食障害とも相関の深い発達障害社員の雇用作りにも注力し てきた。 しかしP&G の人事業務だけではまだ自身のライフミッションは叶えられない、自分の問題意識の中枢にある 摂食障害に直接対峙したい…という思いから、150 名以上のヒアリング、7 回のピボットを経て事業案を検 討。一般社団法人Allyabe を創設し、本業に加えたパラレルキャリアとして摂食障害の治療支援活動に従 事している。 CHANGE by ONE JAPAN 第二期・事務局、経産省始動第７期選抜、LED 関西ファイナリスト オーデ ィエンス賞受賞。
