In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Alpár Lukácsi

Lukácsi Alpár’s life completely changed 12 years ago when a high school colleague presented to him the world of photography. As he says, this was a life-changing experience as thanks to this he not only became more sociable but also met his future wife. A few years down the line he became recognized by his clients and renowned fellow photographers around the world, winning several awards in the field in various competitions such as Top10 Romania 2021, Top50 Fearless Photographers in the World 2022, TOP50 Wedding Photojournalists in the World and most recently, Hungarian Photographer of the Year 2023.

Arthur Teut

Arthur from Arthur's Corner is here to tell us about the journey that led him to want to provide the community with the most enjoyable experience when it comes to coffee, brunch, local events and more. Arthur has been playing competitive sports for a very long time, which has been like a tool that teaches you good or bad things, depending on how you look at those things. He has always chosen to look at them positively. After deciding to give up sports, he went into an equally dynamic, people-oriented field. That's how Arthur's Corner was born, where he allowed his soul to create and offer hospitality in a natural way.

Călin Ignat

Călin Ignat had a successful career in Romanian football, but due to an accident, he had to put a stop to it. An unfortunate event, but thanks to this he owns Noah Beer the first craft brewery in Târgu Mureș. It all started as a hobby of brewing beer in his parents’ kitchen, but it did not take long for Călin to realize: that this is more than a hobby, it is passion and love. But why name it Noah? Well, Noah, the golden retriever, was his best friend and helped him through his most difficult times. He inspired him on the beer crafting journey.

Cornel Sigmirean

Cornel Sigmirean, passionate researcher of the history of Romanian culture and intellectualism. With more than 47 volumes and about 220 studies published, he has dedicated himself to the in-depth study of the intelligentsia and the formation of elites in the modern period, his extensive work making significant contributions to the understanding of cultural and intellectual processes. Recognized with numerous awards and distinctions, Cornel Sigmirean remains a pillar of historical research, and together we will explore his compelling story.

Dishy Ledán

Dr. Ledan "Dishy" is a dentist, medical research specialist and tattoo artist with a wide range of interests in art styles. She owns both a tattoo parlour and a dental practice and on the side works as a muralist, art through which she gives a breath of fresh air to the buildings of our hometown. She is the only Romanian member of the European Society of Tattoo and Pigment Research, a prestigious association of doctors who research body tattoo pathologies. This is the main focus of his scientific activities.

Doru Pelivan

Doru Pelivan has been an entrepreneur since the age of 17 and a marketer for 7 years. During this time he has helped over 300 trainers in various fields from personal development, business, and marketing to successfully promote their educational products. He runs Edukiwi- the top-performing advertising agency in the west of Romania with over 80.000 people passionate about online marketing.

Geta Ungurean

With a burning passion for organizing events, Geta Ungurean is recognized as a true event guru with a sensational reputation for impeccable event organization. With over 2,000 events up her sleeve, she has inspired over 300 people to become successful wedding planners and entrepreneurs, in addition to the above, she is also a trainer and the person who launched ZEN DAY - My Wedding Planner - the first book ever written in Romania for wedding planners, aimed at brides and grooms who want to plan their wedding.

Henry Páll Wulff

Born in urban Berlin, Henry Páll Wulff now works in the most spectacular places our planet has to offer. Based in a small Transylvanian village, he regularly sets off for the frozen, untouched expanses of the far north and far south. From the North Pole to Antarctica, the polar regions are Henry's true home, where he takes his guests on truly once-in-a-lifetime expeditions. As a dedicated lecturer, he teaches courses on the cryosphere and our interconnected environment, with a firm belief that we better protect what we know well.

Imre Vizi

Too alternative to be mainstream, too mainstream to be underground. Vizi Imre is a producer, and songwriter who learned to play the guitar by himself when he was only 14 years old. He is known for participating in The Voice of Romania and the semifinals and finals of the Eurovision National Selection. He is composing soundtracks for movies, theater plays whilst writing songs and doing collaborations with local and international artists.

Noémi Éltető

Noémi Éltető is a researcher in artificial intelligence at the Max Planck Institute in Germany. Her studies are based on how humans learn and play games while developing human-inspired artificial intelligence. Noémi presented her work at more than 10 international conferences, from the United States to Australia, and at universities such as Harvard. She writes articles on human and artificial intelligence. Her aim is to use human intelligence as our best blueprint for inspiration to create artificial intelligence that can generally, safely, and equally serve us all.

Roxana Buzețelu

Roxana Buzețelu is an entrepreneur and the founder of the “Micile bucurii” NGO, which was born from the idea of wanting to improve and be mindful of the environment, to learn more about what "eco living" means. On the 4th of February, she will share how authenticity, vulnerability, self-confidence, empathy, responsibility, and innovation are turning into superpowers to tackle the climate crisis. Through her transformation, Roxana demonstrates that each of us can contribute significantly to a more sustainable future.
