In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Capt. Yogendra Singh Yadav

Subedar Major and Honorary Captain | Param Vir Chakra

Subedar Major and Honorary Captain Yogendra Singh Yadav is a war hero and recipient of the Paramvir Chakra, India's highest wartime gallantry award, for his courageous efforts during the Kargil War in 1999. Despite being hit by 15 bullets and facing direct artillery fire, he captured the strategically significant Tiger Hill bunker, which was essential for further assault by the army. In 2021, he was conferred with the honorary rank of Captain by the President of India and retired from the army on December 31. Yadav now serves on the advisory board of udChalo, a consumer technology company that supports armed forces personnel. His inspirational story has been documented in several books and movies, including the Bollywood film "Lakshya." Yadav's unwavering dedication and bravery continue to inspire the nation and serve as a testament to the courage and sacrifice of India's armed forces personnel.

Entrepreneur and Designer

Hari Nallan, an entrepreneur by heart and designer by profession who founded the powerhouse of design innovation and is the Chief Strategy Officer at Think Design Collaborative. He has been setting industry benchmarks with his visionary leadership. With a wealth of experience as a visiting faculty member at the National Institute of Design Ahmedabad, Gujrat, and a design manager at Anchor Panasonic, he brings unparalleled expertise to the table. As a jury member of prestigious design awards such as the iF Design Award and Indiefolio's Hex Code Design Awards, he has an eye for detail and a passion for excellence. As a curriculum advisor for various design institutions, he has left an indelible mark in the design world. His iconic projects, including the Visiontek Handheld Terminal for mobile ticketing and Mobile Environment Education, have created a lasting impact by educating people on environmental concerns and offering mass market solutions.

Prof. Ajit K. Chaturvedi

Professor IIT Kanpur, Former Director IIT Roorkee, IIT Mandi

Prof. Ajit K. Chaturvedi is a renowned academician and researcher who has largely contributed to the field of wireless communication. Prof. Chaturvedi, an alumni and professor at IIT Kanpur, held many notable positions such as Director, IIT Roorkee; Director (I/C), IIT Mandi; Director, IIAS, etc. He was a founding member of the Telecom Standard Society of India (TSDSI) and contributed to the group constituted for the Department of Telecom for Spectrum Allocation. For his academic and scientific contributions, he received several notable awards, such as the Tan Chin Fellowship of NTU Singapore, the distinguished teacher award of IIT Kanpur, the INSA teachers award, etc.

Prof. Laxmidhar Behera

Director, IIT Mandi

He is a renowned academician and researcher who has significantly contributed in the areas of intelligent systems and control, vision-based robotics, and brain-computer interface. He has also served as the Poonam and Prabhu Goel Chair Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at IIT Kanpur. In his 26-year teaching and research career, he has published 250+ research articles and three renowned graduate-level books. At IIT Mandi, he recently started the Indian Knowledge System Centre, which emphasises teaching Indian traditional scientific culture and knowledge base.

Prof. Prem K. Kalra

Director, Dayalbagh Education Institute

Professor Prem Kumar Kalra, current director of Dayalbagh Educational Institute (DEI) and former director of IIT Jodhpur, has amazing potential as a leader. He has published more than 60 international and national journal papers and 100 publications at national and international conferences. Also, he is the recipient of the ET NOW National Education Leadership Award 2013, the TATA RAO MEDAL for best paper in 2000, and the best paper award by the Indian Institute of Metal.
