TEDxRUET - the most energetic and vibrant community in the whole of northern Bangladesh. We believe in the power of ideas and the limitless potential of the human mind. We unite experts, the people who are paving the path to a fantastic future, and enthusiasts creating a global theater of passionate discourse. "Discovering Dimensions" - means exploring and uncovering new layers of imagination, perspectives, or aspects of a subject we are oblivious. With this philosophy in mind, TEDxRUET aims to orchestrate an event that transcends boundaries to reveal hidden complexities and unseen possibilities.

There's no rigid definition of Discovering Dimensions. It’s what our mind interprets as what it means to Us. To some, it means working with new ideas and discovering the intricacies of the universe. To some, it's understanding the beauty of the deep cosmos in their pursuit of science and Engineering. It also sends a subtle message: we're all unique in our perspective. But what connects all of these people is their drive to make a better sense of today to make better decisions tomorrow. That's what human endeavor fundamentally is!

We said already, we have the most vibrant team. But that didn’t happen because stars lined up and something revolutionary happened that brought us together. All 38 members of our team are selected from a pool of 220 highly capable individuals to lead the community and the quest to explore the mysteries of the hidden dimensions. They don’t complain, they take charge of the situation. They share the same spirit as our speakers. They operate with reason, imagination, and a drive to understand the world deeper and better understand reality. What separates them from the rest is their inherent desire to bend the rules and do things in a new way. Together, they form a force of nature, fueled by their passion and drive to make a difference. “Don’t count the days. Make the days count.” - One of the mottos of our team.

TED is about the audience as much as it’s about the speakers and the ideas that take center stage in our events. It's not just a speaking conference for those who attend. It's like a religious ceremony; a celebration of human potential and the remarkable power of ideas where the audience becomes active participants in the grand narrative of progress. Why do we care so much about abstract concepts? Because they are the sparks that ignite revolutions, drive scientific discoveries, inspire artistic masterpieces, and transform societies. Everything starts with an idea.

𝐃𝐫. 𝐀𝐛𝐝𝐮𝐧 𝐍𝐨𝐨𝐫 𝐓𝐮𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐫, Our next Speaker for TEDxRUET-Discovering Dimensions ! We are thrilled to unveil the remarkable journey of 𝐃𝐫. 𝐀𝐛𝐝𝐮𝐧 𝐍𝐨𝐨𝐫 𝐓𝐮𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐫, a multifaceted individual renowned for his expertise in debating, television presentation, influential writings, and impactful social activities. Join us on 𝐍𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟏𝟎, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟑, at TEDxRUET-Discovering Dimensions as we welcome him to the stage for what promises to be an enlightening and transformative experience. With a degree from Dhaka Medical College, Dr. Tushar initially embarked on a medical career. He also studied public health, to broaden his knowledge and expertise even further. He worked at the Hypertension Center and contributed to USAID's Basics Project. Dr. Tushar served as the president of the Rotary Club of Dhaka East, demonstrating his dedication to community service. He also held the position of District Secretary of Rotaract District 3280, Bangladesh.

Ahmed Ishtiaq

Ahmed Ishtiaq is a renowned name in transforming education in Rajshahi Region. As a Faculty Head at Mentors Education, Ishtiaq has honed his project management and education skills. With a diverse career that has seen him in various leadership roles, including being an Ex-General Manager at Mumu Experience Ltd (UK), Ishtiaq has demonstrated his ability to lead and manage teams in the corporate hospitality world with a passion for culinary knowledge and excellence and also through progressively responsible management skills. Ishtiaq has a stellar academic background, having graduated from the University of Gloucester with an MBA and a BBA. Additionally, he has certifications from esteemed organizations like Trinity College London (Black Friars), Pearson Professional Center (South Gate), and the British Institute of Technology & E-Commerce (London). Ashfaque Nipun

Filmmaker & Screenwriter

Asfaque Nipun, a renowned Bangladeshi screenwriter, filmmaker, and actor has left an indelible mark on the world of entertainment through his powerful storytelling. With an illustrious career spanning various roles in the industry, he has fearlessly tackled sensitive subjects of society, crafting narratives that challenge, inspire, and captivate audiences. Throughout his career, Ashfaque Nipun has donned multiple hats, from acting in notable works like 'Upashanghar' and 'First Date' to directing groundbreaking TV series and web content like 'Mohanagar' and 'Sabrina'. His exceptional talent has not only earned him the 'Meril-Prothom Alo Awards for best scriptwriter in 2017 for the telefilms 'Dondo Somash' and 'Ei Shohore', Best Director in 'Channel I digital awards, 'Meril Prothom Alo Award', 'The Daily Star OTT awards' and CJFB award for 'Mohanagar' (2021), but also international acclaim.

GMB Akash

Photo Journalist

𝐆𝐌𝐁 𝐀𝐤𝐚𝐬𝐡, the renowned Bangladeshi photographer whose lens captures the extraordinary stories of those living on the edge of society around the world. With a portfolio that has graced over 100 major publications including Vogue, Time, Sunday Times, Newsweek, Geo, Stern, Der Spiegel, The Fader, Brand Ein, The Guardian, and Marie Claire, GMB Akash's work has left an indelible mark on the world of photography. Mr. Akash's dedication to his craft extends beyond the camera lens. He serves as a photographer for Panos Pictures, UK. In August 2013, he founded the GMB Akash Institute of Photography in Dhaka, Bangladesh, nurturing future talents and promoting the art of photography. So far students come from 50 different countries from all around the world to learn photography from him. His work has touched hearts and inspired countless individuals. GMB Akash's photography is a testament to the power of storytelling through images.

Rajiib Hossain

𝐑𝐚𝐣𝐢𝐛 𝐇𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐢𝐧- an extraordinary individual with a multifaceted background and a deep passion for making a difference! Rajib's journey began with nearly a decade of service as a military officer, where he honed his discipline and leadership skills. In his life after military service, he availed a chance to work for Royal Bengal Tiger conservation at Sundarbans where he worked as a Certified Counter Wildlife Trafficking Specialist for over a year and has committed himself to protecting our planet's wildlife. With almost 4 years of experience as Head of General Admin and Security at two organizations, he is well-versed in the intricacies of management and security. Currently as an Executive at a financial institution, he brings his cross-functional expertise to the table in unconventional ways. Rajib Hossain actively promotes a healthy and active lifestyle, inspiring those around him to embrace fitness. He is an activist in promoting mental health awareness across the society.

Rakibul Hassan

Chief Technology Officer, Link3 Technologies

𝐑𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐛𝐮𝐥 𝐇𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐧 is just like that. The first Bengali AI/ML book author wrote seven books from 2010 to the present, helping the nation become familiar with the demands of the new era. Former Director of Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC), former Project Director of Integrated Lawful Interception System (ILIS), this list is endless. Throughout his life, he served the nation by building interconnected systems. Rakibul Hassan is one of the backend heroes in the development of Bangladesh’s telecommunications system. While being a strategic analyst with a specialization in psychometric profiling and possessing extensive experience in various areas, including but not limited to forecasting and event prediction, he has a track record of successfully delivering numerous government projects, with a cumulative value approaching $800 million. His books help many people learn the art of Data Science and Machine Learning in their mother tongue, Bengali.

Abdullah Jayed is the founder and CEO of NEXT Ventures, one of the largest digital business groups building FinTech products and solutions for the world. Under his supreme leadership and visionary surveillance, NEXT Ventures is running many successful products, including FundedNext, Finalytics, GrowthNext, and more, while building futuristic solutions through world-class expertise that empowers financial market participants globally. He has received honorable accolades for his accomplishments, including the Prime Minister's Bootstrapping Excellence Award and Global Economics' Best Young CEO Award. In order to give his commercial endeavors flair, Jayed has also worked with international superstars like Emi Martinez, Chris Gayle, and Colin Munro.

Tawhida Shiropa

Mental Health Counselor & Founder, Moner Bondhu

𝐓𝐚𝐰𝐡𝐢𝐝𝐚 𝐒𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐚, who came up with a start-up idea presently known as “𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐁𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐡𝐮,” a mental healthcare and well-being platform in Bangladesh working since 2016 towards SDG 3, 5 and 10 to provide accessible and affordable mental healthcare to all and ensure the gender equality. With her remarkable thoughts, she is now the CEO of Moner Bondhu. In 2015, her mother suffered from depression. And going through the journey as a family, Tawhida experienced firsthand the importance of professional mental health care. At the same time, at her then office, she oversaw a supplement that included a confession box. Every day, thousands of people write to her about their mental health struggles. These two experiences revived Tawhida’s ambitions to make a difference. It became her dream to make mental health care and well-being services available to all.Moner Bondhu won the UN Women WEP’s Asia Pacific Award, Call for Nation Championship by the ICT Division held in Bangladesh
