In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Before recently joining the Start-Up ada learning, Elena became with just 22 years one of the youngest leaders of Deutsche Telekom and learned how important it is to stay authentic, awake and fearless. With her now 26 years, she is also a certified Business Coach, Organizational Developer, Yoga Teacher, Sailing Captain and is currently doing her master’s in business at HHL.

Kathleen has built up her own label as a designer alongside her work as an architect in the realisation of building projects. She now advises companies on their holistic marketing approach and creative processes. In addition, Kathleen works full time as CMO at the innovative Waldkliniken Eisenberg (German Center for Orthopedics), where she is responsible for the external appearance and also focuses on the internal communication and the implementation of the corporate philosophy and vision.

Laura Winterling

PHYSICIST AND FORMER AUSTRONAUT TRAINER

Laura has a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Physics and has worked for almost a decade at the European Space Agency, where she wrote an on-console handbook for Mission Control Europe and trained astronauts on ESAs spacecraft systems for ISS modules. She is a licensed astronaut instructor on cargo handling and life support systems on board the ISS and ISS Emergency Procedures. Laura has also worked in various mission control centers, undergone Zero-G and Human Behaviour and Performance Training with ESA, and been part of 3 Soyuz launch campaigns. She founded her company Space Time Concepts in 2016, which organizes tours and events around human spaceflight and offers people the chance to experience weightlessness on Zero-G Flights. Laura also speaks around the world on training astronauts, human spaceflight, and consults various companies in the field of leadership, team performance, communication, and decision-making processes.

Ruth Chigbo is a dynamic professional with 3+ years of diverse experience across industries including Oil and Gas, FinTech, Renewable Energy, Maritime, and Facilities Management. With an unyielding dedication to teamwork, Ruth is a multifaceted team player who thrives on challenges and idea exchange. Her passion for excellence is evident through her impeccable leadership skills and a service-oriented approach. Currently a Research Assistant at Marum Research Faculty, University of Bremen, Ruth is involved in the International Ocean Discovery Program, investigating Earth's structure beneath the sea floor and hosting major international events. She's also a co-founder of ThriveBold and an advocate for youth education through Akama Youth Education Foundation Series.
