Theme: Mobilizing our Youth

During this TEDx event, we will discuss various relevant issues and ideas that will hopefully inspire individuals to be change-makers within today's society. Teens Tutor Teens is a 501(c) 3 organization built upon the wish for high school peers to succeed in the school system, and make a widespread impact on their local and national communities. The drive to make a difference is an important element in helping change the way our world functions for the better. Understanding relevant issues in society and discovering ways to make a difference in society is critical for today's youth, and this TEDx event will feature individuals in the community who have acquired these skills.

Katha Patel

Georgia Chapter Tutor

Katha Patel is a tutor at Teens Tutor Teens. She has been with Teens Tutor Teens since early 2022, and she works on tutoring, social media, and outreach within the Georgia Teens Tutor Teens chapter. Currently, Katha is interested in medicine; outside of her work at Teens Tutor Teens, she engages in medical research and utilizes her leadership positions to expose students to careers and hands-on activities in the medical field. She plans to major in neuroscience in college and aspires to attend Vanderbilt University.

Sohaib Samad

Georgia Chapter Tutor

Sohaib Samad is a tutor with Teens Tutor Teens. Sohaib has been with Teens Tutor Teens since 2021, and he has tutored, established partnerships, and integrated new tutors into the company. Sohaib does local community service, specifically regarding minority representation and environmental cleanups. He plans to major in physics at college and aspires to go to the University of Chicago.
