Activist
Baemisaal is an artist, writer and a body acceptance advocate/researcher, while modeling to represent a fraction of society that is erased in mainstream fashion. Her pronouns are she/her.
She has been bringing to light social Issues related to gender, mental health and body image;, while simultaneously pushing the boundaries of fashion and makeup, in Pakistan.
She hopes to use her platform to raise voices that are usually silenced and provide an example of an alternative lifestyle that emphasizes on individuality and freedom no matter one’s creed, color, gender or race.
She is also an entrepreneur; running an online jewelry merchandise store and runs a community based public platform which allows anyone to share their story anonymously and acts as a safe space and diary for whoever chooses to be a part of it.
Bilal A. Chaudri
Regenerative Agriculturist
Bilal A. Chaudri is a forest maker and regenerative agriculturist. He founded RESTORE and AGRIHOOD, the two leading firms engaged in building climate-resilient landscapes to green Pakistan's cities and combat food insecurity. An innovative entrepreneur, Bilal studied Economics & Political Science as an undergraduate at FC College in Lahore. He went on to graduate with an MS from Philadelphia College of Textiles, currently Thomas Jefferson University in Pennsylvania, USA.
Hatim Siddique
Musician
Hatim is a 23 year old vocalist, producer and songwriter from Lahore. Starting his musical journey at the age of 15, he initially worked in the Electronic Dance Music (EDM) industry in the US and Europe, managing to sign releases with prominent labels such as Sony Music, Suicide Sheep, Simplify and more. After completing his BA in Music Technology and certification in Arts and Tech from Connecticut College, Hatim decided to return to Pakistan to create music that combined his love for electronic production with his passion for Pakistani art and music. Hatim's fusion between his EDM background, backed by inspiration from western indie music and underground Pakistani sound gives him a fresh and unique style in a growing Pakistani music industry. He aims to push musical boundaries and create inspiration for where local sound and production can go in terms of creativity and expression.
Huzaifa Wazir
Student of Architecture
Huzaifa is a musician from North Waziristan, currently studying Architecture from the National College of Arts, Lahore. He has a keen interest in exploring new instruments and experimenting with different styles and genres.
As the director of "The Qi", a dynamic musical society that provides a platform for aspiring musicians to learn and create performances, has encouraged members to explore their musical interests and discover new instruments. He is commitment to promoting the love of music in the community and inspire them to take up a new instrument and broaden their musical horizons.
Jahan Ara Chughtai
Therapist
Jahan Ara Chughtai is a trauma informed therapist with a private practice in Lahore, Pakistan. She is a Masters of Science in mental health counseling from University of Rochester NY on the Fulbright scholarship. She is the recipient of a leadership award at graduation and her thesis work on domestic violence survivors also won her the best project award.
At her practice she works with many survivors and loves doing her job. She believes clients are the agents of change in their own lives. She is an advocate for becoming best friends with the most hurt parts of ourselves.
Her therapy style is real, candid and motivational. She loves to employ emotion-focused techniques to help clients see their past and their future in an empowering way.
Murrad Gillani
Self-taught Chef
Murrad Gillani is a self-taught chef and an entrepreneur. He chose an unconventional route and decided not to go to college to pursue his career and passion for gastronomy and the food industry.
Murrad has established two food brands; Dezāto and FRIED in Lahore.
Murrad aims to achieve community building through the medium of food and plans on doing that by empowering the youth by mobilizing and educating them which he has already initiated on a smaller scale through social media and plans to expand on that.
Sona Memon
Model
Sona is a fashion model leading campaigns for renowned fashion brands across Pakistan. Based in Karachi, Sona has an undergraduate degree in banking and finance and uses fashion and style to reevaluate personal and cultural expressions.
Syed Eimaad Hashmi
Athlete
A 22 year old student athlete and an entrepreneur. Eimaad is currently the youngest skydiver of Pakistan and is aiming to represent Pakistan in the 2025 Skydiving World Championship and has been a national swimmer previously along with competing in several combat and precision shooting competitions.
Eimaad is also a brown belt 1st Dan in karate and owns 2 startups which are empowering the youth of Pakistan.
Zainub J. Khawaja
Artist
Zainub J. Khawaja is a Lahore based artist with a practice of music that is continuously evolving. She has trained within various indigenous apprenticeship traditions of the Indian subcontinent, namely; khayal gayaki with Ustad Naseeruddin Saami, Gurbani Sangeet with Bhai Ghulam Muhammad Chand of the Rababi tradition, and Seraiki Kafi with Riaz Qadri. She has had a long run as composer and director of Harsakhiyan (appeared on Coke Studio Pakistan season 12). She has also been working towards recording her original solo songs for release as an independent artist, reinterpreting her favorite folk and classical melodies, as well as composing and writing her originals.
